(In My Statutes)
Leviticus
26:3-27:34
There
are 46 Aleph-Tavs in this week's Torah portion
Note:
you will need the oldheb.ttf (old Hebrew) and the SGreek
Mediuim
fonts to see the
Hebrew and Greek text, as well as the three English fonts: Cooper
Black,
Impact and
Frontlight MT Light. Right click the links and choose "Save Target
As". Then go
to the file, and either right click them and choose "install", or drag
them into the font page.
NOTE: All
of the yous and yours underlined as "you" and "your" indicates that the
you and the your are plural. Also any of the words that are in bold
pink
lettering as "you"
refers to the feminine gender, but it is only applied when it does not
commonly refer to a woman. This only is applied to this week's Torah
portion text at this time.
CHAPTER
26 Leviticus
26:3-46
Lev 26:3 If you shall walk in
My Statutes, and you shall guard (keep, observe, watch) ta-My Commandments, and you
shall do
them; 4 And I
will give your
geshem-rains
in their season, and the land shall give her her
produce,
and the trees of the field shall give his fruit.
5 And
shall reach to you
the threshing of ta-the
vintage (clippings), and the
vintage
(clippings) shall reach ta-the seeding
time: andyoushall eat your bread
to
satisfaction,
andyouwill dwell for security
(safety, refuge) in your
land. 6 And I will
give peace
in
the land, andyoushall lay down, and not shall
be with shuddering: and I will rid (desist,
repose) of
evil
beasts from the land, and a sword, she shall not go over in your land. 7
Andyoushall tread down (pursue, chase)ta-your
enemies, and they shall
fall to your faces by
the
sword. 8 And five from you,
they shall tread down (pursue, chase) a hundred, and a
hundred from you,
they shall tread down (pursue, chase) ten thousand: and your
enemies shall fall to your
faces by
the sword. 9 And I will face to you, and I will fructify you, and I will multiply you,
and I will make arisen (establish) ta-My Covenant
with you. 10 Andyoushall eat of the old aged old
(aging old, slept old),
and you shall make go out the aged old (aging old, slept old) from the
facing of the new. 11
And I will give My Tabernacle in your midst: and My Soul,
she shall not
abhor
(loathe) you. 12 And
I
will
walk in your midst,
and I will be to you
for
Elohim, andyou, you shall
be to Me for a People. 13 I am hwhy, your
Elohim, which I brought
you out from
the land of Egypt, from being slaves (servants) to them; and I will
shever-break the rods
(staffs)
of your yoke, and I
will have you walk
erect.
14 And if
you will not listen to Me, and you will not do taall of these Commandments;
15 And if you despise (reject, spurn) in My Statutes, and
if your soul, she
abhors (loathes) ta-My Judgments by failing at
doingta-all of My Commandments, by
your
voiding (dissolving, breaking up, violating)
ta-My Covenant:
16 also I, I
will do this to you;
And I will make visit (appoint) upon you
panic (trembling, terror), ta-consumption (emaciation),
and ta-the fever (inflammation),
expiring (finishing) the eyes, and sorrowing (moping,
pining) of the soul: and you
shall seed (sow) your
seed
for vanity (emptiness, worthlessness, uselessness, naught), and your
enemies shall eat him. 17 And I will give My Face against
you, andyoushall be dashed (defeated,
smitten, stumbled) to the face of your
enemies: and your
haters, they shall tread down (pursue, chase) against you; andyoushall flee, and no one is
treading down (pursuing, chasing)
you.
18 And
if unto these you will not listen to Me, and I will add
sevenfold to chastise (punish) you
upon your sins.
19 And I will shever-break (shever-burst) ta-the pride of
your boldness
(strength); and
I will give ta-your Heavens as the iron,
and ta-your Earth
as the copper: 20
And and your power
shall be completed (spent) for vanity (emptiness, worthlessness,
uselessness, naught): and your
land shall
not give
ta-her produce,
and the trees of
the land shall not give his fruit.
21 And if you walk contrary with Me, and you are not willing
(consenting)
to
listen to Me; And I
will add upon you a
striking sevenfold
according to your
sins. 22
I will send against youta-the beasts of
the field, and shall make
you childless
(miscarry, abort),
and I will cut off ta-your
animals, and will make you
few (diminish); and will devastate (make desolate)
your ways.
23 And if among these you are not chastised to Me, and you
will walk
contrary with Me; 24 And I, also I, will walk in contrariness with you, and I,
also I,
will
strike you sevenfold
upon your sins.
25 And I will bring upon you
a sword, avenging the Vengeance Covenant:
andyou
will be gathered to your
cities, and I
will send pestilence in your
midst; and you
will be given in the
hand of the enemy.
26 In My shever-breaking (shever-bursting) to you
the Staff of Bread,
and ten women, they shall bake your bread in one fire pot
(furnace, oven), and they shall
return
your bread in weight
(scale weight):
and you
will eat, and you will not be satisfied (satiated).
27 And if on this you will not listen to Me, and you
will
walk in contrariness with Me; 28 And I will walk with you contrary in
fury;
and I, also I, will chastise (punish) you
sevenold upon your
sins. 29
And you
shall eat the flesh of your
sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your
daughters. 30 And I will destroy (make desolate) ta-your high
places, and I will
cut down (cut off)
your sun pillars,
and
I will give ta-your carcasses (faint
bodies, exhausted bodies, dead
bodies) upon the carcasses (faint bodies, exhausted
bodies, dead bodies) of
your log idols, and My
Soul shall abhor (detest, loathe) you.
31 And I will give ta-your cities
for a decaying (drought), and I will devestate (make
desolate)
ta-your
sanctuaries, and I will
not smell your
pleasant scents.
32 And
I, I will devastate (make desolate) ta-the land:
and your enemies that
dwell in her, they shall be astonished upon her. 33
And I
will scatter (toss) you
[(fan you away)] among the nations, and I will draw out a sword after
you: and your land, she shall be
devastated (desolated), and your
cities, they shall
be desolated (droughted). 34 Then the land, she shall enjoy (delight) ta-her
Shabbaths all of the
days of the devastation (desolation), and you
shall be in the land of your
enemies; then
the land, she shall desist (repose, rest) and shall enjoy (delight) ta-her
Shabbaths. 35 All of the
days of the devastation (desolation), she shall desist (repose, rest); tawhich not had desisted (reposed, rested) on your
Shabbaths in your
dwelling upon her.
36 And the ones left among
you I will bring
faintness in their hearts in the
lands of their enemies; and shall tread down (pursue, chase) them a sound of shaken
(dispersed) leaf
(foliage); and
they shall flee from fleeing a sword; and they shall fall and
no one is treading down (pursuing, chasing), 37 and a man on his
brother, they shall stumble (falter, waver) as from a face of a sword,
and shall not be
a
tread downer (pursuer, chaser): and you shall not have an arisenment
(an establishment) for
yourselves to the face
of your
enemies, 38 and you
shall
perish
among the nations, and the
land of your enemies shall consume you, 39 and the ones left among you
shall pine away (melt, dissolve) in their iniquity in the lands of your enemies; and
also in
the iniquities of their fathers, they shall pine away (melt, dissolve) with them.
40 And
they shall make known (confess) ta-their
iniquity and ta-the iniquity
of their
fathers on their transgressions (maligns) which they have transgressed
(maligned) against Me, and
also which
they have walked in contrariness with Me; 41 Also I, I will walk with
them in contrariness, and I will bring them in the
land of their
enemies; if then shall knee bend (humiliate) their uncircumcised
hearts,
and then
shall they accept (delight) ta-their
iniquity: 42 And I will
remember ta-My Covenant of Jacob, and
also ta-My Covenant of Isaac, and
I also will remember ta-My Covenant of Abraham; and
I will remember the land. 43
And the land, she shall be forsaken from them, and she shall
enjoy ta-her
Shabbaths among the devastation (desolation) from them: and they, they
shall accept (delight) ta-their
iniquity: because, and in because they despised (rejected, spurned)
on My Judgments,
and their souls abhorred (detested) ta-My Statutes. 44 And also
(yet), that
I will also not despise (reject, spurn) them in their
being in the land of their enemies, and I will not abhor (loathe, detest) them to expire (finish) them to void (dissolve, break up,
violate)My Covenant with them: for I
am hwhy, their
Elohim. 45 And I will
remember for them the Covenant of the Firsts (Beginnings), of which I
brought them out from the land of Egypt to the eyes of the nations,
to be to them for Elohim: I am hwhy. 46 These
are the Statutes
and the Judgments and the Teachings (Torahs) which hwhy
has given between Him and
between the Sons of
Israel in Mount Sinai on the hand of Moses.
(NOTE: Not all verses will have
comments.)
Verses three and four
3 If you shall walk in
My Statutes, and you shall guard (keep, observe, watch) ta-My Commandments, and you
shall do
them; 4 And I
will give your
geshem-rains
in their season, and the land shall give her her
produce,
and the trees of the field shall give his fruit.
These are the kinds of rains that the Israelites will receive in their
due season, which is noted in the Torah portion of Eykev, in the book
of Deuteronomy
Deuteronomy 11:13And shall be, if listening,
you will listen to My
Commandments which I am commanding you today to love ta-hwhy, your
Elohim, and to serve
Him in all of your
heart and in all of your
soul, 14 and I will
give the
mater-rain of your
Land in
his time (season), the early rain (sprinkling) and the latter
rain (after gather rain), and you will gather your grain, and your new
wine (fresh grape
juice), and your fresh pressed oil
[(glistened oil)],
15 and I will give grass in your field for your animals, and
you shall eat and you shall be satisfied.
Looking at the two
types of rains: the early rains and the latter rains. If one went by
the Gregorian Calendar, we would presume that the early rains would be
roughly in the Spring, maybe around March or April, and the latter
rains would be in the Summer, between July and August. But looking at
this from a Hebraic Biblial perspective, the early rains would relate
to the "early numerical ordinals of the Biblical Calendar: i.e. "1"-
Aviv/Nissan, "2"- Ziv/Iyar, "3"- Sivan, etc. This means that
these early rains would apply to the "Spring and early Summer Gregorian
months" which
would occur on the "Spring harvest of Shavuoth" and before the "Fall
High Holy Day of
Sukkoth".
The latter rains would apply to the Biblical latter month
ordinals of the Biblcial year: i.e. "7"- Ethanim/Tishrei, "8"-
Cheshvan, "9"-
Kislev,
etc. That means the latter rains
would have to occur between the Summer, Fall and Winter Gregorian
Months, which
would fall in the Biblical months between the seventh and twelfth
months. This means that the latter rains would occur for the "Spring
harvests" for the Spring High Holy Day of Passover/Unleavened Bread"
This is a chart of the potential Biblical early and
latter rains of the Biblical year, in its estimated proper time frame
This is a chart showing the Biblical in its potential including the
High Holy Days, and the harvest periods and cycle

Verse twelve
12 And
I
will
walk in your midst,
and I will be to you
for
Elohim, andyou, you shall
be to Me for a People.
This would not be the first time that hwhy walked in the
midst of the land. The first time He did it was when He was looking for Adam
and Khavah, which is noted
in the Torah portion of B'reyshith, in the book of
Genesis
Genesis 3:8And they heard ta-the Voice
of hwhy Elohim
walking in the Garden by the breeze of the day:...
I have seen Bible cartoon programs portraying hwhy in the form of
an Egyptian eye. hwhy was in the form
of human being, otherwise, He wouldn't have been able to "walk" on the
earth.
hwhy also noted
another time when He walked on the land, specifically in the
Camp of the Isrealites, which is noted in the Torah portion of Ki
Theytsey, in the book of Deuteronomy
Deuteronomy 23:13And a stake (peg), she shall
be to you upon your spade (paddle,
weapon) [ear];
and shall be in
your sitting outside, and you shall dig in her, and you shall turn, and
you shall cover ta-your
outgoing: 14 for hwhy, your Elohim,
is walking
in the nearness of your Camp to deliver you and to give your
enemies to
your face; and your Camp shall be Sacred (Holy): and shall not seen
among you
exposed (naked) word and shall turn back from after you. hwhy still
walks in our midst, in our hearts, in Yeshua the Messiah.
Verses fourteen
through
seventeen
14 And if
you will not listen to Me, and you will not do taall of these Commandments;
15 And if you despise (reject, spurn) in My Statutes, and
if your soul, she
abhors (loathes) ta-My Judgments by failing at
doingta-all of My Commandments, by
your
voiding (dissolving, breaking up, violating)
ta-My Covenant:
16 also I, I
will do this to you;
And I will make visit (appoint) upon you
panic (trembling, terror), ta-consumption (emaciation),
and ta-the fever (inflammation),
expiring (finishing) the eyes, and sorrowing (moping,
pining) of the soul: and you
shall seed (sow) your
seed
for vanity (emptiness, worthlessness, uselessness, naught), and your
enemies shall eat him. 17 And I will give My Face against
you, andyoushall be dashed (defeated,
smitten, stumbled) to the face of your
enemies: and your
haters, they shall tread down (pursue, chase) against you; andyoushall flee, and no one is
treading down (pursuing, chasing)
you.
There
are spiritual
applications to these punishments:
TERROR:
Act of fear
Regarding
terror, the prophet Jeremiah made note of the southern
house
of Judah when not adhering to the words of hwhy.,
and
prophesied against Pashur for his acts against Jeremiah, which is noted
in his book
Jeremiah 20:1
Now Pashur, the
son of Immer, the Priest, who was also Chief Governor in the House
of hwhy, heard that
Jeremiah
prophesied ta-these
things. 2 Then Pashur
smote ta-Jeremiah, the
prophet, and put
him in the stocks that were in the high gate of Benjamin, which was by
the House of hwhy. 3 And it
came to pass on
the morrow, that Pashur brought forth ta-Jeremiah out
of the stocks.
Then said Jeremiah unto him, hwhy hath not
called thy name
Pashur, but Magormissabib. 4 For thus saith hwhy,
Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all of thy
friends:
and they shall fall by the sword of their enemies, and thine eyes shall
behold it: and I will give ta-all
Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them
captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the sword. 5 Moreover I
will deliver ta-all the
strength of this
city, and ta-all the
labours thereof, and ta-all the
precious things
thereof, and ta-all
the treasures of the kings of Judah will I give into the hand of their
enemies, which shall spoil them, and take them, and carry them to
Babylon. 6 And thou, Pashur, and all that dwell in thine house shall go
into captivity: and thou shalt come to Babylon, and there thou shalt
die, and shalt be buried there, thou, and all of thy friends, to whom
thou
hast prophesied lies.
In
the Brith
Khadashah (the New Covenant) terror will come unto all people at the
Judgment seat of
Messiah for what they have done on the earth, which is noted in the
apostle Paul's letter to the assembly in Corinth 2
Corinthians 5:9 Wherefore
we labour, that, whether present or absent, we
may be accepted of him. 10 For we must all appear before the Judgment
Seat of Messiah; that every one may receive the things done in his
body,
according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. 11 Knowing
therefore the Terror of hwhy, we
persuade
men; but we are made manifest unto hwhy; and I
trust also are made
manifest in your consciences.
Without fearing (revering, giving awe to) hwhy, which is to
love hwhy,
one would fear
man. This is what the scriptures say about fearing hwhy:
Psalms 111:10a
The Fear (Awe, Reverence)
of hwhy
is the beginning of
wisdom
Proverbs
1:7a The Fear (Awe, Reverence) of
hwhy is the
beginning of knowledge
Proverbs
8:13a The Fear (Awe, Reverence) of hwhy
is to hate evil
And in the Brith Khadashah (the New Covenant), it notes fear in the
book of the apostle John
1 John 4:18
There is no fear
in Love; but Perfect Love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment.
He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Terror is a result of fear, and the Israelites did not fear hwhy
and they walk
contrary to Him.
It also effects their strength, which is noted by the prophet Ezekiel
in
his book
Ezekiel 7:17
All hands
shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.
Overall, if one does not fear (revere, give awe to) hwhy,
one will be in
terror with men.
EMACIATION
(Becoming
Thin/Starvation/Lack of Nutrition): Spiritual lack
of nutrition from The Word/Not doing the Will of hwhy-Yeshua
A great example of the will of hwhy
as nourishment
is noted in the Gospel of John
John 4:31
In the mean while His disciples prayed Him, saying, Master, eat.
32 But he said
unto
them, I have food to eat that ye know not of. 33 Therefore
said
the disciples one to another, Hath any man brought Him ought to eat? 34
Yeshua saith unto them, My Food is to
do the Will of Him that sent Me, and to finish His Work.
We
as
believers also receive our spiritual nourishment from hwhy by doing His
Will.
hwhy's Word is
spiritual food for us. An example of this is noted in the book of the
prophet Jeremiah
Jeremiah 15:16
Thy Words were
found, and I did eat them; and Thy Word was unto me the joy and
rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by Thy Name, hwhy,
Elohim of Armies (Hosts).
A good word
provides health, which is noted in the book of Proverbs
Proverbs 16:24
Pleasant words
are as an honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.
THE
FEVER, WITH CONSUMING THE
EYES: A fever that cause blindness: Spiritual fever of sin of the world,
via worldly acts or religious doctrine building up in one causing
spiritual blindness
This is an article from the Huffington Post titled "Mary Ingalls'
Blindness: Scarlett Fever Wasn't The Cause Of 'Little House' Sister's
Vision Loss", and this is what it says:
"Any
fan of Laura
Ingalls Wilder's beloved "Little House"
books
knows how the author's sister Mary went blind: scarlet fever. But turns
out that probably wasn't the cause, medical experts say, upending one
of the more dramatic elements in the classic stories.
An
analysis of
historical documents, biographical records and
other
material suggests another disease that causes swelling in the brain and
upper spinal cord was the most likely culprit. It was known as "brain
fever" in the late 1800s, the setting for the mostly true stories about
Wilder's pioneer family".
Either way, it shows that a fever caused her blindness.
All of the spiritual fever of sins of the world would cause "spiritual
blindness".
Yeshua confronted the Pharisees regarding their spiritual blindness,
because of their evils and their sins, after He healed a blind man,
which is noted in the Gospel of John
John 9:35
Yeshua heard that
they had cast him out; and when He had found him, he said unto him,
Dost thou believe on the Son of Elohim? 36 He answered and
said,
Who is He, Lord, that I might believe on Him? 37 And Yeshua
said
unto him, Thou hast both seen Him, and it is He that talketh with thee.
38 And he said, Lord, I believe. And he worshipped Him. 39 And
Yeshua said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which
see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind.
40 And
some of the Pharisees which were with Him heard these Words, and said
unto Him, Are we blind also? 41 Yeshua said
unto them, If
ye were
blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your
sin remaineth.
The spiritual fever of the Pharisees' sins and doctrines inflamed them
and
caused them to be spiritual blind in
denying their sins by saying "We see".
THE FEVER, WITH SORROW OF THE SOUL:
Spiritual fever of inflaming
fleshly
desires of the world that bring no satisfaction for the soul
This would include these things, which the apostle John noted in his
epistle
1 John 2:16 For
all that
is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and
the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
The apostle Paul sent
Timothy to help them fix the problems occurring at a congregation.
Paul noted later his intention, through Timothy, to go
through godly sorrow, in many ways, to counteract their pride based on
following men instead of following Yeshua from Paul's first book to
them, which are noted in his letter to
the congregation at Corinth 2 Corinthians 7:1
Having
therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from
all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the Fear
(Aweness, Reverence)
of hwhy. 2 Receive us; we have
wronged no man, we have
corrupted no
man, we have defrauded no man. 3 I speak not this to condemn you: for I
have said before, that ye are in our hearts to die and live with you. 4
Great is my boldness of speech toward you, great is my glorying of you:
I am filled with comfort, I am exceeding joyful in all our tribulation.
5 For, when we were come into Macedonia, our flesh had no
rest,
but we were troubled on every side; without were fightings, within were
fears. 6 Nevertheless the Lord, that comforteth those that
are cast down,
comforted us by the coming of Titus; 7 And not by his coming only, but
by the consolation wherewith he was comforted in you, when he told us
your earnest desire, your mourning, your fervent mind toward me; so
that I rejoiced the more. 8 For
though I
made you sorry with a letter, I do not repent, though I did repent: for
I perceive that the same epistle hath made you sorry, though it were
but for a season. 9 Now
I rejoice,
not that ye were made sorry, but that ye
sorrowed to repentance: for ye were made sorry after a godly manner,
that ye might receive damage by us in nothing.
10 For
godly
sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to
be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death.
11 For
behold this selfsame thing, that ye sorrowed after a
godly sort, what carefulness it wrought in you, yea, what clearing of
yourselves, yea, what indignation, yea, what fear, yea, what vehement
desire, yea, what zeal, yea, what revenge! In all things ye have
approved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
12 Wherefore,
though I wrote unto you, I did it not for his
cause that had done the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered wrong,
but that our care for you in the Eyes of hwhy might appear
unto you.
From the first book of Corinthians, they were priding themselves in
following men instead of Yeshua, which in many cases would give their
souls no satisfaction in the end. The apostle Paul made them go through
godly
sorrow to make them repent of their pride and humble themselves to
Yeshua to counteract their wrongdoing and focus on Yeshua instead of
men.
WORKING
SEED FOR VANITY AND THE
ENEMIES EAT THEM: Laboring your
gifts and callings for worldly purposes
and competitors take credit for your work/Foreigners receiving the work
that the country in which the job was founded should have received
How many times have people taken credit for someone else's work? This
is the definition of "plagiarism".
There is a rare exception to the case, and unfortunately it is within
the realm of the brethren. Anyone heard about the Tetrad Blood Moons
phenomenon? Two people put out the information. One of them is a mega
church member whose name will not be mentioned, and the other is Mark
Biltz of El Shaddai
Ministries. According to a World Net Daily artilce in March 23,
2015
on this subject matter, the mega church leader claimed to be the
"discoverer" of the dates and
the blood moons account in connection to the Jewish Calendars of
Passover and Sukkoth. World Net Daily noted that it was not the mega
church leader who
discovered them, but Mark Biltz who discovered them in 2008, five years
before the mega church leader put out his book regarding the four blood
moons in 2013. This
would be an act of plagiarism.
Another perspective of this are the major companies, who have job
availability potential for the people in the United States, but decide
to take their businesses overseas to foreign countries and offering
jobs at cheaper wages to foreigners.
SMITTEN
TO THE FACE OF ENEMIES: Spiritually
smitten through or via self
humiliation, self destruction and embarassment in front of the people
of the world and the world without the hand of the
righteous or unrighteous intervening
This would not be the result of the world doing their spiritual smitten
acts against anyone,
but hwhy
would do it
personally against those who reject them. One example was a former
church pastor who walked with Elohim, then later in life turned away
from the
faith and became a pervert comedian. Since then, he did pervert things
in his life, but one day, he had a heart attack out of nowhere and died.
HATERS
SHALL TREAD ON YOU: Demonic
forces and/or the world overcoming believers by spiritually treading on
them
The apostle Paul noted to not be overcome with evil, which is noted in
his letter
to the assembly in Rome
Romans 12:19 Dearly beloved,
avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is
written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith hwhy. 20 Therefore if thine enemy
hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou
shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21 Be not overcome
of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Also, the apostle Peter, in many ways, talked about one being overcome
with the world when they were originally free, which is noted in his
epistle
2 Peter 2:15 Which have
forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of
Balaam, the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness; 16
But
was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man's voice
forbad the madness of the prophet. 17 These are wells without water,
clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is
reserved for ever. 18 For when they speak great swelling words of
vanity, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through much
wantonness, those that were clean escaped from them who live in error.
19 While
they promise them liberty, they themselves are the servants of
corruption: for of whom a man is overcome, of the same is he brought in
bondage. 20 For if after
they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of
the Lord and Saviour, Yeshua, the Messiah, they are again entangled
therein, and overcome, the latter end is worse with them than the
beginning. 21 For it had been better for them not to have known
the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from
the Holy Commandment delivered unto them. 22 But it is
happened unto them according to the true proverb, The dog is turned to
his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in
the mire.

18 And
if unto these you will not listen to Me, and I will add
sevenfold to chastise (punish) you
upon your sins.
19 And I will shever-break (shever-burst) ta-the pride of
your boldness
(strength); and
I will give ta-your Heavens as the iron,
and ta-your Earth
as the copper: 20
And and your power
shall be completed (spent) for vanity (emptiness, worthlessness,
uselessness, naught): and your
land shall
not give
ta-her produce,
and the trees of
the land shall not give his fruit.
The number seven represents spiritual completion. In hwhy's
case, this is
His Spiritual Completion against the Israelites for not repenting of
their
wrongdoing. It is almost as if hwhy
was saying to
them "I will take it to the next sevenfold level and make matters worse
for
you".
In other words, this is next level to the Israelites, when in the
previous level of chastisements they were able to work and produce the
food in vain, because it was given to the enemy. Now they would labor
in vain and would not produce anything at all. It says in verse
nineteen in this week's Torah portion passasge that the
heavens would be as iron and the earth would be as copper, because it
would not provide the means to benefit the crops and the trees to
produce the food.
This would also apply spritually to us as believers in not producing
any
spiritual fruits, or would stop growing in our walk with Yeshua/hwhy.
Verses
twenty-one and twenty two
21 And if you walk contrary with Me, and you are not willing
(consenting)
to
listen to Me; And I
will add upon you a
striking sevenfold
according to your
sins. 22
I will send against youta-the beasts of
the field, and shall make
you childless
(miscarry, abort),
and I will cut off ta-your
animals, and will make you
few (diminish); and will devastate (make desolate)
your ways. BEASTS
OF THE FIELD: Beastly
nature of mankind in the world, i.e. Muslims
The next level of the sevenfold of hwhy's
spiritual completion is
to bring the wild beasts, like bears and cougars, etc into the land.
An example of wild beasts from the result of the nation's disobedience
is when the man of the Elohim from Judah, who confronted king
Jeroboam, disobeyed hwhy's Word and eats
with a prophet in the Northern Kingdom of Israel when he was
commanded by hwhy to not to do
so. This is a result of the man's disobedience, which is
noted in the book of the Kings
1 Kings 13:20 And
it came
to pass, as they sat at the table, that the Word of hwhy came unto
the prophet that
brought him back: 21 And he cried unto the man of the Elohim
that
came
from Judah, saying, Thus saith hwhy, Forasmuch
as thou hast
disobeyed the Mouth of hwhy, and hast
not kept the Commandment which hwhy thy Elohim
commanded thee,
22 But camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place,
of the which hwhy did say to
thee, Eat
no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the
sepulchre of thy fathers. 23 And it came to pass, after he had eaten
bread, and after he had drunk, that he saddled for him the ass, to wit,
for the prophet whom he had brought back. 24 And
when he was
gone, a lion met him by the way, and slew him: and his carcase was cast
in the way, and the ass stood by it, the lion also stood by the carcase.
This
shows that
the wild animals were already dwelling in the Northern Kingdom of
Israel because of king Jeroboam's disobedience against hwhy. When
the man of the Elohim disobeyed hwhy's Word, he took
on this week's Torah portion's level of judgment passage in which the
Northern Kingdom was at with the wild
beasts, and hwhy
made the lion
kill him.
Another example is in our own backyards. In the United States, there
are more wild animals coming in to the suburbs, rural communities and
in the cities. They are slowly popping up everywhere. This is also
the result of the judgment of this nation for disobeying the Will and
Commandments
of hwhy.
Also, there was another
"spiritual animal", which is noted in the Torah
portion of Toldoth, in the book of Genesis
Genesis
25:27And
the young ones grew: and Esau became a man of
knowledge of
hunting
(chase, game) of a
man of the field,...
In other words, Esau is a wild man in the field, and the
descendants of
Esau today are the Islamic peoples, who are symbolically "wild beasts".
They are already occupying the western European nations, the Western
Hemisphere, including the United States, as well as the world, and they
are growing and
populating more. According to a documentary video
played Jim Staley of Passion
For Truth Ministries, the
fertility rate for each Muslim family
is as much as eight children compared to Europe and the United States'
fertility rate of less than 2.11 children, the minimum rate to maintain
proper population growth.
You
can find the information on Jim Staley's teaching "End of The Age:
Jacob vs Esau" on the You Tube website. It includes a seven minute
video about the Muslim's fertility rate overwhelming Europe and the
Northern Hemisphere's fertility rate. You can access
it by clicking on the
image below to get to the webpage. (Note: The segment of the video
begins in the fourteenth minute of the
teaching).
Spiritually, a
believer would be brought into an environment
where there would be people of beastly nature around the believer's
vicinity, to wake up the believer and make the believer repent. LIVESTOCK, CHILDREN AND MAKE YOU
FEW: The
fruits of their labor and the people who followed him:
LIVESTOCK:Spiritual beasts of the world via
worldy organizations (could include worldy politians and their
political agendas) CHILDLESS:Making one friutless spiritually in
making "spiritual
babies" whether by new brethren or spritual callings or spiritual
projects, etc CUTTING OFF ANIMALS:Cutting off our spiritual livestock
(i.e. our callings, our walk in hwhy-Yeshua, our spiritual gifts, etc.) MAKING US FEW:Laws against believers for growth,
resulting in
hindering the growth of the believing population and believers'
beliefs, minimizing, crippling and handicapping the believers' freedom
to grow spiritually and populously
In this example, the livestock is the crusade and the children are the
followers of them. One of these examples was a very popular crusade
preacher of the seventies and eighties. When he admitted his sin in
public, it destroyed his crusade career, and
if became a spiral decline for the majority of his followers. It also
devestated and effected most of
the other crusades preachers in the United States who were innocent.
Since the incident, the
Television industries backed off from televising most of the
crusades except for Billy Graham's. It devastated the crusade movement,
and as a result, if affected the people's trust in the crusades and
caused major decline.
Also, looking in the United States, a former president quoted in a
foreign trip that the United States is no longer a Christian nation.
Also, the religious demagogue has changed, and non-religious peoples
have now become the majority in this nation, especially the results of
the votes in the 2016 Presidential Election, where the loser received
more votes than the winner. If it wasn't for the rules that the
founding fathers put in place in the U.S. Constitution and the winner
was based by the vote of the majority, it would have been the other way
around.
DEVASTATE
THE ROADWAYS:
Believer's walk with hwhy-Yeshua shut down
One example is when hwhy
smote Job with
all kinds of devastations and plagues. This was what Job said regarding
his walk with hwhy which is noted
in his book Job 19:8
He
hath fenced up my way that I cannot pass, and he hath set darkness in
my paths
Indirectly related, another symoblic walk in following the Word of hwhy is noted in the
Torah potion of Balak, in the book of Numbers
Numbers 22:20And
Elohim came to Balaam at night, and said to him, If
the men,
they have come to call for you, arise, go with them; and only ta-the Word
which I speak to you, him you shall do.
21 And Balaam arose in the breaking period (morning), and
saddled (wrapped, girded) ta-his female
donkey,
and went
with the princes of Moab. 22 And the Anger of Elohim glowed
for he went: and the Messenger of hwhy was placed (stood) in the
way for an
adversary to him, and he was riding upon his
female
donkey,
and his two
young men were with him. 23 And the female donkey, she saw ta-the
Messenger of hwhy was standing (stationed) in
the way, and his
sword was drawn in his hand: and the female donkey, she bent away
(yielded away) from the
way,
and
she went in the field: and Balaam struck (beat) ta-the female
donkey to bend (yield)
her to the
way. 24 And the Messenger of hwhy stood in a hollowed area
(hollowed path, narrow path) of the
vineyards, a inclosure (mason wall, hedge) from this (here), and
a inclosure
(mason wall, hedge) from this (here).
25 And the female donkey, she saw ta-the
Messenger of hwhy, and she
thrusted (pressed) ta-Balaam's
foot to the trenched wall (wall, side wall):
and again to strike her. 26 And again (adding), the Messenger of hwhy had gone
over and stood in
a cramped (tight, troubled) place which was no way to bend away (yield away) rightward and smallward
(leftward).
27 And the female donkey, she saw ta-the
Messenger of hwhy, and she
crouhed down under
Balaam:
and the anger of Balaam glowed, and struck (beat) ta-the female
donkey among the
stick (shoot).
28
And hwhy opened ta-the mouth of
the
female donkey,
and she said to Balaam, What have I done to you, for I
have been
struck (beaten) these three footings (steps. times)? 29 And Balaam
said to
the
female
donkey,
For you have insulted (mocked) against me: By him (Would that, If,
Wishing) existed a sword in my hand, for now
I would have killed you. 30 And the female donkey, she said to
Balaam,
That am I not your female donkey
which you have rode upon me from your continuance [(from you still)]
unto this day? That
advantaging, I took advantage to do so to you? And said, No.
31 And hwhy revealed (exposed) ta-the eyes of
Balaam,
and saw ta-the
Messenger of hwhy stood (stationed) in
the way, and his
sword was drawn in his hand: and he bowed, and worshipped (bowed down)
to his face.
32 And the Messenger of hwhy
said to him, Upon why
have you struck (beaten) ta-your female
donkey this
three footings (steps, times)? Behold I, I have
come out for an adversary, for your way was rash (perverse) to before
me:
33 And the female donkey, she saw me, and she bent away (yielded
away)
to my
face
this three footings (steps, times): Unless
had bent away (yielded away) her
from my face, for also now, that I would have killed you, and I
would have let
her live.
34 And Balaam said to the Messenger of hwhy, I have
sinned; for I did
not know for you stood (stationed) in the way to encounter (meet) me:
and now,
if evil is in
your eyes, I will return by myself. 35 And the Messenger
of hwhy
said to Balaam, Go with
the men: and only (save) ta-the Word
that I shall
speak to you, him you
shall speak. And Balaam went with the princes of Balak.
Balaam disobeyed "part" of the Word of hwhy, and didn't
wait for the men to say for Balaam to go with them, but went in his own
accord, and hwhy sent a
Messenger to stop him in his symbolic spiritual walk in the road way. The third time
the Messenger met the donkey, the donkey
stopped herself in her tracks. This was symbolically an act to stop
one's spiritual walk, because of Balaam's disobedience to hwhy until Balaam
repented. This can
happen spiritually to us believers in Yeshua as well.
If a believer struggles with one's path with hwhy,
He is trying
to get the believer's attention that something about the believer's
symbolic and spiritual road way in their walk with hwhy/Yeshua is not
right,
and needs to seek Him and repent.
This is hwhy's Way for the
Israelites in their walk to repent, which is noted in the book of the
prophet Jeremiah
Jeremiah 31:21
Set thee up
waymarks, make thee high heaps: set thine heart toward the highway,
even the way which thou wentest: turn again, O Virgin of Israel, turn
again to these thy cities.
hwhy gives
us a
way to return back to the land by the "waymarks" to guide us back in
our walk in His Word and in our
relationship with Him through Yeshua, our Messiah.
Verses
twenty three through twenty
five
23 And if among these you are not chastised to Me, and you
will walk
contrary with Me; 24 And I, also I, will walk in contrariness with you, and I,
also I,
will
strike you sevenfold
upon your sins.
25 And I will bring upon you
a sword, avenging the Vengeance Covenant:
andyou
will be gathered to your
cities, and I
will send pestilence in your
midst; and you
will be given in the
hand of the enemy. SWORD AVENGING THE VENGEANCE
COVENANT: Word of the world
over the Word of hwhy-Yeshua
ex: laws of the land via worldly politicians over the Laws of hwhy-Yeshua/The
world revenging
against the People-believers who continue to disobey hwhy/Yeshua
This is hwhy's
counter
action against His People. Instead of being the Avenger for His People,
He was avening His Vengeance Covenant against the People.
Look what is happening now in a good portion of a certain communities
today in the United States. Not including everyone, who are decent
people, a portion of these communities are getting back and
avenging themselves against the police, who are mostly white- who are
mostly the
descendant of the Lost Ten Northern Tribes of Israel- mainly for the
years of depression, the
enslavement of their
ancestors by the plantation owners, whom a portion of them were
believers. Though some of the communities are descendants of
the white plantation owners, like Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees,
most of them
mainly identify themselves as their own ethnicity, because they lack
knowledge of
their ancestor's spiritual walk. Also, the latest influx of illegal
aliens
are coming in droves across the southern border of Mexico, and in
recent years have become the
majority population in the southwest states. According to
Wikipedia's topic "Historical racial and ethnic demographics of the
United States", the Mexican population have today become the
majority-minority population in the United States.
Another perspective is that the Muslim peoples are currently using
swords to decapitate people who
are not for the Muslim religion. If we as nations dedicated
to hwhy
do not repent
of our sins, iniquities and transgressions, and ask hwhy
to avenge us, hwhy
is going to
allow the Muslims to follow through with their agendas against the
nations and the United States, and the nations will not be immune to
this.
All of these matters are also based on the spirit of an unrighteous
leader
affecting the spirit of the nation. An example of this was king
Solomon's son, king Rehoboam, who was an evil king and changed the
spirit and moral fabric of the Israelite nation, which is noted in the
book of the Kings
1 Kings 14:21 And
Rehoboam, son of Solomon, reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty and
one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in
Jerusalem, the City which hwhy did choose
out of all the
tribes of Israel, to put His Name there. And his mother's name was
Naamah, an Ammonitess. 22 And Judah did evil in the Eyes of hwhy, and they
provoked Him to
jealousy with their sins which they had committed, above all that their
fathers had done. 23 For they also built them high places, and images,
and groves, on every high hill, and under every green tree. 24 And
there were also sodomites in the land: and they did according to all
of the abominations of the nations which hwhy cast out
before the Sons
of Israel.
Though it says nothing about foreigners, it does reveal that the spirit
of an unrighteous leader has an effect of the nation.
GATHERED
TO THE CITIES: Ungodly
spiritual imprisonment/False
physical fortification, protection and security
Because of the Israelites continuous disobedience, the next main thing
they did was go to the fortified walls of the cities, thinking they
would be protected there, but hwhy
will not
protect them in the
fortified cities. There are a few examples. The infamous example
occurred around 70 AD when the Jewish People went into the
fortifications in Jerusalem, thinking they would be protected from the
Roman soldiers.
Believers in Yeshua who still do not return to the obedience of hwhy
think that we
could be protected within a four walled home as fortification and
protection from the world, but it is like the Israelites, as Bill Cloud
of Shoreshim Ministries said in one teaching of the Torah portion of Bo
that they could leave
from Egypt, but Egypt still lives in them. It is somewhat relevant to
this part of the commentary, because it shows that the Israelites
physical bodies are not immune physical fortifications to the issues of
the world and their lives that had effected them.
Also, we as believers have "spiritual walls" which is also our hedge of
protection, but when believers are in a state of continuing walking
against the faith and against the Word in our walk with Yeshua/hwhy, we would lose
those spiritual walls of protection
and would become vulnerable, as well as being spiritually unprotected.
Yeshua noted unclean spirits in a man, which is noted in the Gospel
of Matthew
Matthew 12:41
The men of
Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn
it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a
Greater than Jonas is here. 42 The Queen of the South shall rise up in
the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came
from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon;
and, behold, a Greater than Solomon is here. 43 When the
unclean
spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking
rest, and findeth none. 44 Then he saith, I will return into my house
from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty,
swept, and garnished. 45 Then goeth he, and taketh with
himself
seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and
dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
Don't
think
those unclean spirits will stay away from the man, they will find
reinforcements to attack again and try to regain the man. So does
HaSatan against us as believers and the Jewish people who still hold
the Covenant, but disobey the Heavenly Father.
SENDING
PESTILENCE IN THE MIDST: Fiery
darts of the enemy
This is an act of hwhy
taking away His Shield of Protection. This is based on the apostle Paul
letter to the
assembly in Ephesus
Ephesians 6:16
Above
all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench
all the fiery darts of the wicked.
Today, in the United States, we as believers are receiving fiery darts
of the
enemy. One example is a gay couple wanting a wedding cake at a certain
bakery shop, but the owner refused because of his religious beliefs.
The gay couple sued the owner and won their case in court. The owner
had to compensate the gay couple and pay fees.
GIVEN
TO THE HAND OF THE ENEMY: Given
over to HaSatan
One famous incident that one was given over to HaSatan was Judas, which
is noted in the Gospel of John
John 13:18
I speak not
of you all: I know whom I have chosen: but that the Scripture may be
fulfilled, He that eateth bread with Me hath lifted up his heel against
Me. 19 Now I tell you before it come, that, when it is come to pass, ye
may believe that I am He. 20 Verily, verily, I say unto you,
He
that receiveth whomsoever I send receiveth Me; and he that receiveth Me
receiveth Him that sent Me. 21 When Yeshua had thus said, He
was
troubled in spirit, and testified, and said, Verily, verily, I say unto
you, that one of you shall betray Me. 22 Then the disciples
looked
one on another, doubting of whom He spake. 23 Now there was leaning on
Yeshua's bosom one of His disciples, whom Yeshua loved. 24 Simon Peter
therefore beckoned to him, that he should ask who it should be of whom
He spake. 25 He then lying on Yeshua's Breast saith unto him, Lord, who
is it? 26 Yeshua answered, He it is, to whom I shall give a sop, when I
have dipped it. And when He had dipped the sop, he gave it to Judas
Iscariot, the son of Simon. 27 And
after the
sop Satan entered into him.
Then said Yeshua unto him, That thou
doest, do quickly.
Judas ultimately rejected Yeshua's Ministry to him and caused HaSatan
to enter into him. But Judas was used,
so that the Scripture would be fulfilled.
Indirectly
related, Yeshua noted a spiritual account, which is noted in the Gospel
of Matthew
Matthew 12:38 Then certain of
the Scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see
a Sign from Thee. 39 But He answered and said unto them, An evil and
adulterous generation seeketh after a Sign; and there shall no Sign be
given to it, but the Sign of the prophet Jonas: 40 For as Jonas was
three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of
Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. 4
The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and
shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and,
behold, a Greater than Jonas is here. 42 The Queen of the South shall
rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for
she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of
Solomon; and, behold, a Greater than Solomon is here. 43 When the
unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places,
seeking rest, and findeth none. 44 Then he saith,
I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is
come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. 45 Then goeth he,
and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself,
and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is
worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked
generation.
Because Yeshua's
Jewish generation was wicked, they would in a way be turned over to the
enemy.
Another matter where HaSatan entered to a man of hwhy
was noted in the book
of Acts
Acts 5:1
But a certain man
named Ananias, with Sapphira, his wife, sold a possession, 2 And kept
back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a
certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet. 3 But
Peter said,
Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Spirit,
and to keep back part of the price of the land?
4
Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? Snd after it was sold, was it
not in thine own power? Why hast thou conceived this thing in thine
heart? Thou hast not lied unto men, but unto the Lord.
5 And Ananias hearing
these words fell down, and gave up the spirit: and great fear came on
all them that heard these things. 6 And the young men arose, wound him
up, and carried him out, and buried him. 7 And it was about the space
of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came
in. 8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the
land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much. 9 Then Peter said
unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit
of hwhy? Behold, the feet of
them
which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee
out. 10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and
yielded up
the spirit: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and,
carrying
her forth, buried her by her husband. 11 And great fear came upon all
of
the congregation, and upon as many as heard these things.
Though
the wife
was not filled of her heart, she submitted to HaSatan in her husband's
heart, and it was equivalent as HaSatan entered into her heart. Thus,
they both
paid the price with their lives.
Another way of HaSatan entering to a person is to be delivered unto
HaSatan by someone else who has the right to do so, which is noted in
the apostle Paul's letter to Timothy
1 Timothy 1:18 This
charge I commit unto thee, son Timothy, according to the prophecies
which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good
warfare; 19 Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some
having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck: 20 Of
whom is
Hymenaeus and Alexander; whom I have delivered unto Satan, that they
may learn not to blaspheme.
A good account of this regards an
adulturous relationship between a man and his
mother-in-law, which is noted in the apostle
Paul's letter to the assembly
in Corinth
1 Corinthians 5:1 It is
reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such
fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one
should have his father's wife. 2 And ye are puffed up, and have
not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken
away from among you. 3 For I verily, as absent in body, but present in
spirit, have judged already, as though I were present, concerning him
that hath so done this deed, 4 In the name of our Lord, Yeshua, the
Messiah, when ye are gathered together, and my spirit, with the power
of our Lord, Yeshua, the Messiah, 5 To deliver such
an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the
spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord, Yeshua.
I pray that none of us have to go through these experiences.
Verse
twenty six
26 In My shever-breaking (shever-bursting) to you
the Staff of Bread,
and ten women, they shall bake your bread in one fire pot
(furnace, oven), and they shall
return
your bread in weight
(scale weight):
and you
will eat, and you will not be satisfied (satiated).
BREAKING
THE STAFF OF BREAD: hwhy
breaking His Word with His People/Breaking the believer's relationship
with hwhy-Yeshua
The Staff of Bread
is a reference
to hwhy's Word. In
other
words, hwhy
will remove His Word from within the People. This would be the stage of
divorcing
Himself from His People as He did in the Ten Northern Tribes, which is
noted in
the book of the prophet Jeremiah
Jeremiah 3:8a
And I saw, when
for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel committed adultery I had
put her away, and given her a bill of divorce;
TEN
WOMEN MAKING ONE BREAD: Believers
spiritually working in vain without the Strength of hwhy-Yeshua getting little spiritual
rewards/Many
people working in vain getting little results/Working in the world with
little results/(Could also be compared to 1st Timothy 4:8 "For bodily
exercise profiteth little:...")
In history, people from the mid 1800's who were poor had to live in
slums and work tirelessly to work for little pay. Even complete
families were used to work to meet the demands of companies to get what
little they could get to meet their needs.
One can see today how much the price of food, housing, utility costs,
materials, etc., are rising.
In times past, there used to be one spouse to take care of the monetary
means. Today, both spouses are providing the income, but in most cases
it still does not meet their monetary needs.
A MAN EATS ITS
WEIGHT AND
IS NOT
SATISFIED: The bread,
symbolically "word", of the the
world doesn't satisfy the soul
This is what the prophet Ezekiel said during the end of days,
which is noted in his book
Ezekiel 7:19 They
shall
cast their silver in the streets, and their gold shall be removed:
their silver and their gold shall not be able to deliver them in the
day of the Wrath of hwhy:
they shall
not satisfy
their souls, neither fill their bowels: because it is the
stumblingblock of their iniquity.
In
this part of
the case, they tried to use gold and silver to give them satisfaction
in their souls and their bowels as if it was an act of food for them,
but it won't satisfy their souls.
In the spiritual sense, the bread is symbolically the bread of the
"words" of the world.
It might give temporary satisfaction, but it is not eternal. They will
keep finding things, i.e. false religions to find satisfaction for
their
souls, but it still won't fulfill their souls' needs.
The only person that can satisfy the soul is "the Bread of Life", and
He
is Yeshua, the Messiah.
This is a physical example of Yeshua's acts satisfying the souls of
men, which is noted in the Gospel of Mark
Mark 8:1
In those days the
multitude being very great, and having nothing to eat, Yeshua called
His
disciples unto Him, and saith unto them, 2 I have compassion on the
multitude, because they have now been with me three days, and have
nothing to eat: 3 And if I send them away fasting to their own
houses, they will faint by the way: for divers of them came from far. 4
And His disciples answered Him, From whence can a man satisfy these men
with bread here in the wilderness? 5 And He asked them, How many loaves
have ye? And they said, Seven. 6 And He commanded the people to sit
down on the ground: and He took the seven loaves, and gave thanks, and
brake, and gave to His disciples to set before them; and they did set
them before the people. 7 And they had a few small fishes: and He
blessed, and commanded to set them also before them. 8 So they did eat,
and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left
seven baskets. 9 And they that had eaten were about four
thousand:
and He sent them away.
Yeshua
mutliplied the bread to satisfy the needs of the people that were
present with Him and His disciples that wanted to hear the Bread of
Life.
Yeshua, during His forty day trial in the wilderness, was tempted by
HaSatan to turn stones into bread, which is noted in the Gospel of
Matthew
Matthew 4:1
Then was Yeshua
led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil. 2
And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, He was afterward an
hungred. 3 And when the tempter came to Him, he said, If thou
be
the Son of Elohim, command that these stones be made bread.
4 But
He answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone,
but by every Word that proceedeth out of the Mouth of hwhy.
Yeshua
said this
to show how important it is to obey and keep the Word, in which Yeshua
is the Living Word made Flesh.
Verses
twenty seven through thirty-one
27 And if on this you will not listen to Me, and you
will
walk in contrariness with Me; 28 And I will walk with you contrary in
fury;
and I, also I, will chastise (punish) you
sevenold upon your
sins. 29
And you
shall eat the flesh of your
sons, and you shall eat the flesh of your
daughters. 30 And I will destroy (make desolate) ta-your high
places, and I will
cut down (cut off)
your sun pillars,
and
I will give ta-your carcasses (faint
bodies, exhausted bodies, dead
bodies) upon the carcasses (faint bodies, exhausted
bodies, dead bodies) of
your log idols, and My
Soul shall abhor (detest, loathe) you.
31 And I will give ta-your cities
for a decaying (drought), and I will devestate (make
desolate)
ta-your
sanctuaries, and I will
not smell your
pleasant scents.
WALKING
IN FURY CONTRARY:
Rebelling against hwhy/Yeshua
A good example is when King Saul
was given the Word to kill every Amalekite and every
animal, but he disobeyed the Word of hwhy.
This
is the what happened afterward, which is noted in the book of
the prophet Samuel
1 Samuel 15:22 And Samuel
said, Hath hwhy as great delight in
Elevation Offerings and Sacrifices, as in obeying the Voice of hwhy? Behold, to obey is better
than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams. 23 For rebellion
is the Sin of Witchcraft,
and stubbornness is iniquity and idolatry. Because thou
hast rejected the Word of hwhy, He hath also
rejected thee from being king. Because King Saul failed to
obey the Word, it cost him his kingship. This is what Job noted in the
his book
Job 1:21 ...hwhy gave, and hwhy hath taken away;...
Yeshua give a stern statement to those who blasphemes the Ruakh
HaKodesh (the Holy Spirit), whch is noted in the Gospel of Matthew
Matthew 12:22 Then was
brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he
healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
23 And all of the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the
Son
of David? 24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow
doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub, the prince of the devils.
25
And Yeshua knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom
divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or
house divided against itself shall not stand: 26 And if Satan cast
out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom
stand? 27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your
children cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. 28 But if
I cast out devils by the Spirit of hwhy, then the Kingdom of hwhy is come unto you. 29 Or else
how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods,
except he first bind the strong man? And then he will spoil his house.
30 He that is not with Me is against Me; and he that gathereth not with
Me scattereth abroad. 31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin
and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the
blasphemy against the Holy Spirit shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of Man, it shall
be forgiven him: but whosoever
speaketh against the Holy Spirit, it shall not
be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
EATING
THE FLESH OF SONS AND
DAUGHTERS: Destroying the
fruits one has accomplished and destroying
the
spiritual gifts for the next generation
This is what happened in the Seige of Jerusalem around 70 AD where
people ate flesh. A perfect example is in Josephus' account in "The
Wars of the Jews", in book 6, chapter 3, sections 3 and 4
[193] ...But why do I
describe the shameless impudence that the famine brought on men in
their eating inanimate things, while I am going to relate a matter of
fact, the like to which no history relates, either among the
Greeks or Barbarians? It is horrible to speak of it, and incredible
when heard. I had indeed willingly omitted this calamity of ours, that
I might not seem to deliver what is so portentous to posterity, but
that I have innumerable witnesses to it in my own age; and besides, my
country would have had little reason to thank me for suppressing the
miseries that she underwent at this time.... [201] There was a certain
woman that dwelt beyond Jordan, her name was Mary; her father was
Eleazar, of the village Bethezob, which signifies the house
of Hyssop.
She was eminent for her family and her wealth, and had fled away to
Jerusalem with the rest of the multitude, and was with them besieged
therein at this time. The other effects of this woman had been already
seized upon, such I mean as she had brought with her out of Perea, and
removed to the city. What she had treasured up besides, as also what
food she had contrived to save, had been also carried off by the
rapacious guards, who came every day running into her house for that
purpose. This put the poor woman into a very great passion, and by the
frequent reproaches and imprecations she east at these rapacious
villains, she had provoked them to anger against her; but none of them,
either out of the indignation she had raised against herself, or out of
commiseration of her case, would take away her life; and if she found
any food, she perceived her labors were for others, and not for
herself; and it was now become impossible for her any way to find any
more food, while the famine pierced through her very bowels and marrow,
when also her passion was fired to a degree beyond the famine itself;
nor did she consult with any thing but with her passion and the
necessity she was in. She then attempted a most unnatural thing; and
snatching up her son, who was a child sucking at her breast, she said,
"O thou miserable infant! for whom shall I preserve thee in this war,
this famine, and this sedition? As to the war with the Romans, if they
preserve our lives, we must be slaves. This famine also will destroy
us, even before that slavery comes upon us. Yet are these seditious
rogues more terrible than both the other. Come on; be thou my food, and
be thou a fury to these seditious varlets, and a by-word to the world,
which is all that is now wanting to complete the calamities of us
Jews." As soon as she had said this, she slew her son, and then roasted
him, and eat the one half of him, and kept the other half by her
concealed. Upon this the seditious came in presently, and smelling the
horrid scent of this food, they threatened her that they would cut her
throat immediately if she did not show them what food she had gotten
ready. She replied that she had saved a very fine portion of it for
them, and withal uncovered what was left of her son. Hereupon they were
seized with a horror and amazement of mind, and stood astonished at the
sight, when she said to them, "This is mine own son, and what hath been
done was mine own doing! Come, eat of this food; for I have eaten of it
myself! Do not you pretend to be either more tender than a woman, or
more compassionate than a mother; but if you be so scrupulous, and do
abominate this my sacrifice, as I have eaten the one half, let the rest
be reserved for me also." After which those men went out trembling,
being never so much aftrighted at any thing as they were at this, and
with some difficulty they left the rest of that meat to the mother.
Upon which the whole city was full of this horrid action immediately;
and while every body laid this miserable case before their own eyes,
they trembled, as if this unheard of action had been done by
themselves. So those that were thus distressed by the famine were very
desirous to die, and those already dead were esteemed happy, because
they had not lived long enough either to hear or to see such miseries. Spiritually, we as believers
will
spiritually eat our fruits and labors by destroying our own spiritual
gifts and spiritual callings.
DESTROYING
HIGH PLACES/SUN
PILLARS: Destroying their
accomplishments in the world and destroying
their idols in their lives
The apostle Paul noted the work in the world that is not of hwhy, and that we
are to do His Work, which is noted in his letter
to the assembly in Colossia
1 Colossians 3:9 For we are
labourers together with the Lord: ye are the Lord's Husbandry, ye are the Lord's Building. 10 According to
the Grace of the Lord which is given unto me, as a
wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth
thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11 For
other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Yeshua, the
Messiah. 12 Now if any man
build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay,
stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day
shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire
shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's
work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15
If any
man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall
be saved; yet so as by fire.
CARCASSES
UPON THE CARCASSES OF
THEIR IDOLS: Dying to their
idols they made in the world
One good example is the historic ship, the Titanic, in which the
captain said
the ship that "God
could not sink", but it did sink. The captain that quoted this phrase,
went
down
with ship and died with it.
CITIES
DESOLATED AND SANCTUARY
WASTED: Ministries destroyed
and the person with it
One famous example in the United States was a ministry, whose pastor
aquired estates from the late 1970's to the early 1980's, and it became
the headquarters for the ministry. He also created for a
college where people who gave their money to him to move there and
live there. Later in the ministry, there was a money scandal occurring
in the ministry. A major donator to the
ministry sued them, and there
were
investigations against the ministry. It resulted in
the ministry to close its doors
and move to a smaller branch location.
Looking at the word SUN PILLARS
In verse
thirty, the
Hebrew word for sun pillars is "khah-mahn"- Khet,
Mem, Nun
Sophit (Nmx).
It is from
Strong's Concordance number 2553, and its definition
From
H2535; a sun pillar: - idol, image.
from 2535 "khah-mah" (hmx), and its
definition
From
H2525; heat; by implication the sun: - heat, sun.
from 2525 "khahm" (Mx), and its
definition
From
H2552; hot: - hot, warm.
from 2552 "khah-mahm" (Mmx), and its definition
A
primitive root; to be hot (literally or figuratively): - enflame self,
get (have) heat, be (wax) hot, (be, wax) warm (self, at).
Verses
thirty two through thirty
five
32 And
I, I will devastate (make desolate) ta-the land:
and your enemies that
dwell in her, they shall be astonished upon her. 33
And I
will scatter (toss) you
[(fan you away)] among the nations, and I will draw out a sword after
you: and your land, she shall be
devastated (desolated), and your
cities, they shall
be desolated (droughted). 34 Then the land, she shall enjoy (delight) ta-her
Shabbaths all of the
days of the devastation (desolation), and you
shall be in the land of your
enemies; then
the land, she shall desist (repose, rest) and shall enjoy (delight) ta-her
Shabbaths. 35 All of the
days of the devastation (desolation), she shall desist (repose, rest); tawhich not had desisted (reposed, rested) on your
Shabbaths in your
dwelling upon her.
This would be fulfilled in the Babylonian invasion of Judah and in
Jerusalem, which is noted in the book of the prophet Jeremiah
Jeremiah 25:8
Therefore thus
saith hwhy of Armies (Hosts);
Because ye have
not heard My Words, 9 Behold, I will send and take all the
families of the hidden (north), saith hwhy,
and Nebuchadrezzar, king
of Babylon, My servant, and will bring them against this land, and
against the inhabitants thereof, and against all of these nations round
about, and will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment,
and an hissing, and perpetual desolations. 10 Moreover I will take from
them the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the
bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones,
and the light of the candle. 11 And this whole land shall be a
desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king
of Babylon seventy years.
Because
they did
not allow the land to rest in the seventh year for 490 years (as I
noted in last week's Torah portion of B'har, in the book of Leviticus,
this account occurred in the
500th year), they were kicked out the land so that the land can have
her rest for the
seventy year period, a year for every land rest year in the 490 years.
SCATTERED
AMONG THE NATIONS: Cast out the
Kingdom of Heaven and scattered in the world
Yeshua noted this account. The first one is regarding the
unfaithful children of the Kingdom, which is noted in the Gospel of
Matthew
Matthew 8:5
And when Yeshua
was entered into Capernaum, there came unto him a centurion, beseeching
Him, 6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the
palsy, grievously tormented. 7 And Yeshua saith unto him, I will come
and heal him. 8 The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy
that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the Word only, and my
servant shall be healed. 9 For I am a man under authority, having
soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to
another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth
it. 10 When Yeshua heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that
followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no,
not in Israel. 11 And
I say unto
you, that many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down
with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the Kingdom of Heaven.
12
But
the Children of the Kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness:
there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Yeshua also
spoke a Parable
regarding the improperly dressed man at a wedding feast, which is noted
in the
Gospel of Matthew Matthew 22:1
And
Yeshua
answered and spake unto them again by Parables, and said,
2 The Kingdom of Heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a
marriage
for his son, 3 And sent forth his servants to call them that were
bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. 4 Again, he
sent
forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I
have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all
things are ready: come unto the marriage. 5 But they made light of it,
and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: 6 And
the remnant took his servants, and entreated them spitefully, and slew
them. 7 But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent
forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their
city. 8 Then saith he to his servants, The wedding is ready, but they
which were bidden were not worthy. 9 Go ye therefore into the
highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage. 10 So
those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as
many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished
with guests. 11 And
when the
king came in to see the guests, he saw there a man which had not on a
wedding garment: 12 And
he saith
unto him, Friend, how camest thou in hither not having a wedding
garment? And he was speechless.
13 Then
said the
king to the servants, Bind him hand and foot, and take him away, and
cast him into outer darkness;
there shall be weeping and
gnashing of teeth. 14 For many are called, but few are chosen.
Yeshua also
noted the Parable of
the unfaithful servant, which is noted in the Gospel of Matthew
Matthew 24:45 Who
then is
a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his
household, to give them meat in due season? 46 Blessed is that
servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing. 47 Verily I
say unto you, That he shall make him ruler over all his goods. 48 But
and if that evil servant shall say in his heart, My lord delayeth his
coming; 49 And shall begin to smite his fellowservants, and to eat and
drink with the drunken; 50 The lord of that servant shall come in a day
when he looketh not for him, and in an hour that he is not aware of, 51
And shall cut him asunder, and appoint him his portion with the
hypocrites: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
Yeshua noted the
Parable of
the lazy servant with the one talent, which is noted in the Gospel of
Matthew
Matthew 25:24
Then he which
had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou
art an hard man, reaping where thou hast not sown, and gathering where
thou hast not strawed: 25 And I was afraid, and went and hid
thy
talent in the earth: lo, there thou hast that is thine. 26 His lord
answered and said unto him, Thou wicked and slothful servant, thou
knewest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not
strawed: 27 Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the
exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with
usury. 28 Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him
which hath ten talents. 29 For unto every one that hath shall be given,
and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken
away even that which he hath. 30 And
cast ye the
unprofitable servant into outer darkness:
there shall be weeping
and gnashing of teeth.
These Parables
and accounts are symbolic to the unfaithful and unrighteous servants,
and to people who reject the Will of hwhy,
and those do not obey
His Will, and they will be cast out of the Kingdom of Heaven- the
symbols of the house, or the house of the marriage supper, or who are
already
of the Kingdom of Heaven. It means nobody is immune to being kicked
out. The apostle Paul noted of this matter, which he noted in his
letter to the
assembly in Rome
Romans 11:12 Now
if the
fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them
the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness? 13 For I speak
to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I
magnify mine office: 14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them
which are my flesh, and might save some of them. 15 For if the casting
away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving
of them be, but life from the dead? 16 For if the First Fruit be Holy,
the lump is also Holy: and if the Root be Holy, so are the branches. 17
And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive
tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the Root
and fatness of the olive tree; 18 Boast not against the branches. But
if thou boast, thou bearest not the Root, but the Root thee. 19 Thou
wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed
in. 20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou
standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: 21 For if the Lord spared not
the natural
branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee. 22 Behold therefore
the goodness and severity of hwhy: on them
which fell,
severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in His Goodness:
otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. 23 And they also, if they abide
not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for the Lord is able to
graff them in
again. 24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by
nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how
much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into
their own olive tree? 25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be
ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits;
that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the
Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is
written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn
away ungodliness from Jacob: 27 For this is My Covenant unto
them,
when I shall take away their sins.
Verses
thirty six through thirty
nine
36 And the ones left among
you I will bring
faintness in their hearts in the
lands of their enemies; and shall tread down (pursue, chase) them a sound of shaken
(dispersed) leaf
(foliage); and
they shall flee from fleeing a sword; and they shall fall and
no one is treading down (pursuing, chasing), 37 and a man on his
brother, they shall stumble (falter, waver) as from a face of a sword,
and shall not be
a
tread downer (pursuer, chaser): and you shall not have an arisenment
(an establishment) for
yourselves to the face
of your
enemies, 38 and you
shall
perish
among the nations, and the
land of your enemies shall consume you, 39 and the ones left among you
shall pine away (melt, dissolve) in their iniquity in the lands of your enemies; and
also in
the iniquities of their fathers, they shall pine away (melt, dissolve) with them.
FAINTNESS IN THEIR HEARTS IN THE
LAND OF THEIR ENEMIES: Having
no righteous strength in the world
This would spiritually make a believer in Yeshua very vunerable to the
world as long as one
continue to delve into the worldy life.
Even king Solomon's warned about being faint and could have picked up
on this
week's Torah portion passage, which is noted in the book of Proverbs
Proverbs 4:10 If thou
faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.
Proverbs 28:1 The
wicked flee when no man pursueth:...
Indirectly related, this is what happened to the prophet Jeremiah,
which is noted in
his book of Lamentations
Lamentations 1:12 Is it
nothing to you, all ye that pass by? Behold, and see if there be any
sorrow like unto my sorrow, which is done unto me, wherewith hwhy hath afflicted me in the day
of His Fierce Anger. 13 From above hath He sent fire into my
bones, and it prevaileth against them: He hath spread a net for my
feet, He hath turned me back: He hath made me desolate and faint all
the day.
It wasn't
because he rebelled, but he suffered through all of the persecution of
his
own People, and had to identify with them going to Babylonian captivity
and the destruction of Jerusalem around 586 BC.
A
SHAKEN LEAF SHALL CHASE THEM AND NO ONE IS FOLLOWING THEM: Spiritual insecurity
NO POWER TO STAND TO THE FACE OF
YOUR ENEMIES: No spiritual
backbone
Ever hear of "bullies"? How many of us have experienced facing bullies
in our lives, particularly during our years growing up? The
Israelites went through this similar matter confronting Goliath, the
giant, which is noted in the book of the prophet Samuel
1 Samuel 17:1 Now the
Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered
together at Shochoh, which belongeth to Judah, and pitched between
Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim. 2 And Saul and the men of Israel
were gathered together, and pitched by the valley of Elah, and set the
battle in array against the Philistines. 3 And the Philistines
stood on a mountain on the one side, and Israel stood on a mountain on
the other side: and there was a valley between them. 4 And there
went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath,
of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. 5 And he had an helmet
of copper upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the
weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of copper. 6 And he
had greaves of copper upon his legs, and a target of copper between his
shoulders. 7 And the staff of his spear was like a weaver's beam;
and his spear's head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one
bearing a shield went before him. 8 And he stood and cried unto
the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set
your battle in array? Am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul?
Choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me. 9 If he be
able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants:
but if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our
servants, and serve us. 10 And the Philistine said, I defy ta-the armies of Israel this
day; give me a man, that we may fight together. 11 When Saul and
all of Israel heard ta-those words of
the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.
It's like this,
but in a judgmental means of being afraid and worse. We as believers in
Yeshua who
don't truly follow hwhy will experience
spiritual fear and spiritual insecurity as well as physical fear.
It doesn't just
apply to the emotions, but it also applies to the soul and spirit.
PERISH AMONG THE NATIONS/THE
LAND OF THE ENEMIES CONSUME YOU: One
becoming part of the world and
spiritual death
As I noted earlier, Judas was of the world, and submitted to HaSatan to
ploy to give Yeshua to the Jewish authorities.
AND THEY WILL STUMBLE, A MAN ON
HIS BROTHER, AS WITH THE FACE OF A SWORD: Blind leading the blind/The
world blinding people/The cares of the world piling on believers
Yeshua noted of the Pharisees' blindness, which is noted in the Gospel
of Matthew
Matthew 15:1
Then came to
Yeshua Scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying, 2 Why do
Thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they wash not
their hands when they eat bread. 3 But He answered and said
unto
them, Why do ye also transgress the Commandment of hwhy by your
tradition? 4 For hwhy
commanded, saying, Honour thy father and mother: and, He that curseth
father or mother, let him die the death. 5 But ye say, Whosoever shall
say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou
mightest be profited by me; 6 And honour not his father or his mother,
he shall be free. Thus have ye made the Commandment of hwhy
of none effect by your
tradition. 7 Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, 8
This People draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me
with their lips; but their heart is far from Me. 9 But in vain they do
worship Me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 10 And He
called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: 11 Not
that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh
out of the mouth, this defileth a man. 12 Then came His disciples, and
said unto Him, Knowest Thou that the Pharisees were offended, after
they heard this Saying? 13 But He answered and said, Every plant, which
My Heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. 14 Let
them alone:
they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind,
both shall fall into the ditch. Matthew
23:16 Woe unto
you, ye
blind guides, which say,
Whosoever shall swear by the Temple, it
is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the Temple, he is
a debtor! 17 Ye
fools and
blind: for whether is
greater, the gold, or the Temple that
sanctifieth the gold? 18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the Altar, it is
nothing; but whosoever sweareth by the gift that is upon it, he is
guilty. 19 Ye
fools and
blind: for whether is
greater, the gift, or the Altar that
sanctifieth the gift?...24 Ye
blind guides,
which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel....26 Thou
blind
Pharisee, cleanse first that
which is within the cup and
platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
Also, one will go into the world's lifestyles and be spiritual blinded
by them, and fail to see hwhy's
will for
their lives.
Yeshua noted the subject matter regarding the cares of the world, which
is noted in
the Gospels of Mark and Luke
Mark 4:18 And these are they
which are sown among thorns; such as hear the Word, 19 And the cares of
this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other
things entering in, choke the Word, and it becometh unfruitful.
Luke 8:14 And that which
fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and
are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring
no fruit to perfection.
Luke 21:34 And take
heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with
surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day
come upon you unawares.
PINING AWAY IN THEIR INIQUITY IN THE
LAND OF ONE'S ENEMIES:Living
in the world's lifestyles
Pining is also an act of longing in a foreign land. Has one ever say
the words "I miss my country", or "I miss being home"? Judah
experienced this while in Babylonian captivity, and this is what the
prophet Jeremiah noted in his book
Jeremiah 14:1 The Word
of hwhy that came to Jeremiah
concerning the dearth. 2 Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof
languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is
gone up.
Verses
forty through forty five
40 And
they shall make known (confess) ta-their
iniquity and ta-the iniquity
of their
fathers on their transgressions (maligns) which they have transgressed
(maligned) against Me, and
also which
they have walked in contrariness with Me; 41 Also I, I will walk with
them in contrariness, and I will bring them in the
land of their
enemies; if then shall knee bend (humiliate) their uncircumcised
hearts,
and then
shall they accept (delight) ta-their
iniquity: 42 And I will
remember ta-My Covenant of Jacob, and
also ta-My Covenant of Isaac, and
I also will remember ta-My Covenant of Abraham; and
I will remember the land. 43
And the land, she shall be forsaken from them, and she shall
enjoy ta-her
Shabbaths among the devastation (desolation) from them: and they, they
shall accept (delight) ta-their
iniquity: because, and in because they despised (rejected, spurned)
on My Judgments,
and their souls abhorred (detested) ta-My Statutes. 44 And also
(yet), that
I will also not despise (reject, spurn) them in their
being in the land of their enemies, and I will not abhor (loathe, detest) them to expire (finish) them to void (dissolve, break up,
violate)My Covenant with them: for I
am hwhy, their
Elohim. 45 And I will
remember for them the Covenant of the Firsts (Beginnings), of which I
brought them out from the land of Egypt to the eyes of the nations,
to be to them for Elohim: I am hwhy.
This is reinforced by what hwhy
said to king
Solomon, which is noted in the book of the Chronicles
2 Chronicles 7:14 If
My People, which are called by My Name, shall humble themselves, and
pray,
and seek My Face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear
from the heavens, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Mark Biltz of El Shaddai
Ministries noted that the apostle John made
note of this Tanakh's source, which is noted in his epistle
1 John 1:9
If we confess our
sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us
from all unrighteousness.
King David went through a good part of these judgments during his life,
which is noted in the book of the Psalms
Psalm 38:1 A
Psalm of
David, to bring to remembrance. hwhy, rebuke me
not in Thy Wrath:
neither chasten me in Thy Hot Displeasure. 2 For Thine Arrows stick
fast in me, and Thy Hand presseth
me sore. 3 There is no soundness in my flesh because of Thine Anger;
neither is there any rest in my bones because of my sin. 4 For
mine iniquities are gone over mine head: as an heavy
burden they are too heavy for me. 5 My wounds stink and are
corrupt because of my
foolishness. 6 I am troubled; I am bowed down greatly; I go mourning
all the day long. 7 For my loins are filled with a loathsome disease:
and
there is no soundness in my flesh. 8 I am feeble and sore broken: I
have roared by reason of
the disquietness of my heart. 9 Adonai, all my desire is before Thee;
and my groaning is
not hid from Thee. 10 My heart panteth, my strength faileth me: as for
the
light of mine eyes, it also is gone from me. 11 My lovers and my
friends stand aloof from my sore; and
my kinsmen stand afar off. 12 They also that seek after my
life
lay snares for me:
and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine
deceits all the day long. 13 But I, as a deaf man, heard not;
and
I was as a dumb
man that openeth not his mouth. 14 Thus I was as a man that heareth
not, and in whose
mouth are no reproofs. 15 For in Thee, hwhy, do I hope: Thou wilt hear,
Adonai,
my Elohim. 16 For I said, Hear me, lest otherwise they should rejoice
over me: when my foot slippeth, they magnify themselves against me. 17
For I am ready to halt, and my sorrow is continually
before me. 18 For I will declare mine iniquity; I will be sorry for
my sin. 19 But mine enemies are lively, and they are strong: and
they that hate me wrongfully are multiplied. 20 They also that render
evil for good are mine
adversaries; because I follow the thing that good is. 21 Forsake me
not, hwhy: O my
Elohim, be not far
from me. 22 Make haste to help me, Adonai, my Salvation.
One can see that all of the judgments that King David experienced are
noted in this week's Torah portion chapter.
Looking at verse forty two of this week's Torah portion passage, I want to give
attention to Jacob's name. Jacob's name in Hebrew is
Ya-akov- Yod, Ayin, Kuph, Bet (bqey). There is
something different with his name in this verse. It doesn't show it in
English, but in the Hebrew text, Jacob's Hebrew name has a Vav in it (bwqey). Jacob's
Hebrew name is mentioned 349 times in the entire Tanakh. Jacob's Hebrew
name with the Vav is noted a total of five times. Jacob name in
this week's Torah portion verse is the
only time in the entire Torah that the Vav is included in his name. In
the Paleo-Hebrew, the Vav is a picture of a "nail". Notice also
that hwhy starts off with
the Patriarchs "first", then He says He will remember the land
"second". But in the Patriarchs, hwhy goes backwards
and starts with Jacob's name first. The other two Patriarchs, Isaac and
Abraham, do not have a Vav included in their names. hwhy is telling us
that Jacob is the "nail" that holds these three Patriarchs together,
and is the nail for us as believers in Yeshua to be "spiritually
attached" to the fathers,
because Isaac's brother, Ishmael, was not part of the Covenant, and
Esau, Jacob's brother, was also not part of the Covenant. These three
patriarchs are what complete the "Patriarch Dynasty". When hwhy starts with
Jacob, hwhy is making Jacob
the "nail" for the People as well as us believers to return to the
"Patiarchal Covenant", then
Isaac, then Abraham, because Jacob was the last of the three patriarchs
that hwhy covenanted in
order for hwhy's People to
repent and in order to return back to the Covenant.
I noted that there were five total times that Jacob's Hebrew name
has a Vav included. The first one is shown. The other four times that
the Vav is included are all noted in the book of the prophet Jeremiah
Jeremiah 30:15 Why criest
thou for thine affliction? Thy sorrow is incurable for the multitude of
thine iniquity: because thy sins were increased, I have done these
things unto thee. 16 Therefore all they that devour thee shall be
devoured; and all thine adversaries, every one of them, shall go into
captivity; and they that spoil thee shall be a spoil, and all that prey
upon thee will I give for a prey. 17 For I will restore health
unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith hwhy; because they called thee an
Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after. 18 Thus
saith hwhy; Behold, I will bring again
the captivity of Jacob's (bwqey) tents, and have mercy on
his dwellingplaces; and the city shall be builded upon her own heap,
and the palace shall remain after the manner thereof. 19 And out of
them shall proceed thanksgiving and the voice of them that make merry:
and I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will also
glorify them, and they shall not be small. 20 Their children also shall
be as aforetime, and their Congregation shall be established
before Me,
and I will punish all that oppress them. 21 And their nobles shall
be of themselves, and their governor shall proceed from the midst of
them; and I will cause him to draw near, and he shall approach unto Me:
for who is this that engaged ta-his heart to approach unto
Me? Saith hwhy. 22 And ye shall be My
People, and I will be your Elohim.
Jeremiah 33:19 And
the Word of hwhy came unto Jeremiah, saying,
20 Thus saith hwhy; If ye can break ta-My Covenant of the day, and ta-My Covenant of the night, and
that there should not be day and night in their season; 21 Then may
also My Covenant be broken with ta-David, My servant, that he
should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with ta-the Levites, the Priests, My
ministers. 22 As the host of the heavens cannot be numbered, neither
the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply ta-the seed of David, My
servant,
and ta-the Levites that minister
unto Me. 23 Moreover the Word of hwhy came to Jeremiah, saying, 24
Considerest thou not what this People have spoken, saying, The two
families which hwhy hath chosen, he hath even
cast them off? Thus they have despised ta-My People, that they should
be no more a nation before them. 25 Thus saith hwhy; If My Covenant be not with
day and night, and if I have not appointed the Ordinances of the
Heavens and Earth; 26 Then will I cast away the Seed of Jacob (bwqey), and David, My servant, so
that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of
Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause ta-their captivity to return,
and have mercy on them.
Jeremiah 46:18 As I
live, saith the King, whose Name is hwhy of Armies (Hosts), Surely as
Tabor is
among the mountains, and as Carmel by the sea, so shall he come.
19 O thou daughter dwelling in Egypt, furnish thyself to go into
captivity: for Noph shall be waste and desolate without an inhabitant.
20 Egypt is like a very fair heifer, but destruction cometh; it cometh
out of the north. 21 Also her hired men are in the midst of her like
fatted bullocks; for they also are turned back, and are fled away
together: they did not stand, because the day of their calamity was
come upon them, and the time of their visitation. 22 The voice thereof
shall go like a serpent; for they shall march with an army, and come
against her with axes, as hewers of wood. 23 They shall cut down her
forest, saith hwhy, though it cannot be
searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are
innumerable. 24 The daughter of Egypt shall be confounded; she
shall be delivered into the hand of the people of the hidden (north).
25 hwhy of Armies (Hosts), the
Elohim of
Israel, saith; Behold, I will punish the multitude of No, and Pharaoh,
and Egypt, with their elohim, and their kings; even Pharaoh, and all
them that trust in him: 26 And I will deliver them into the hand of
those that seek their lives, and into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar, King
of Babylon, and into the hand of his servants: and afterward it shall
be inhabited, as in the days of old, saith hwhy. 27 But fear not thou, O My
servant, Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save
thee from afar off, and ta-thy seed from the land of
their captivity; and Jacob (bwqey) shall return, and be in rest
and at ease, and none shall make him afraid. 28 Fear thou not, O
Jacob, My servant, saith hwhy: for I am with thee; for I
will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but
I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet
will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.
Jeremiah 51:14hwhy of Armies (Hosts) hath sworn
by
Himself, saying, Surely I will fill thee with men, as with
caterpillers; and they shall lift up a shout against thee. 15 He hath
made the earth by His Power, He hath established the world by His
wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by His Understanding. 16
When He uttereth His Voice, there is a multitude of waters in the
heavens; and He causeth the vapours to ascend from the ends of the
earth: He maketh lightnings with rain, and bringeth forth the wind out
of His Treasures. 17 Every man is brutish by his knowledge; every
founder is confounded by the graven image: for his molten image is
falsehood, and there is no breath in them. 18 They are vanity, the work
of errors: in the time of their visitation they shall perish. 19 The
portion of Jacob (bwqey) is not like them; for
He is the former of all things: and Israel is the rod of His
Inheritance: hwhy of Armies (Hosts) is His
Name.
All theses four accounts relate to an act of returning, or the
potential of returning, and all four of them have Jacob's name one
time mentioned with the Vav in them.
One more thing that I have yet to make note in this week's Torah
portion chapter which are the
times that hwhy said that He
will add "sevenfold" to
their sins, and He noted this phrase four times:
18 And
if unto these you will not listen to Me, and I will add
sevenfold to chastise (punish) you
upon your sins.d the trees of
the land shall not give his fruit.
21 And if you walk contrary with Me, and you are not willing
(consenting)
to
listen to Me; And I
will add upon you a
striking sevenfold
according to your
sins.
23 And if among these you are not chastised to Me, and you
will walk
contrary with Me;
27 And if on this you
will not listen to Me, and you
will
walk in contrariness with Me; 28 And I will walk with you contrary in
fury;
and I, also I, will chastise (punish) you
sevenold upon your
sins. Seven times:Seven demons/spirits
An example of this is when Yeshua talked of seven spirits, relating to
His generation, which is noted in the Gospel of Matthew
Matthew 12:41
The men of
Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn
it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a
Greater than Jonas is here. 42 The Queen of the South shall rise up in
the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came
from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon;
and, behold, a Greater than Solomon is here. 43 When the
unclean
spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking
rest, and findeth none. 44 Then he saith, I will return into my house
from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty,
swept, and garnished. 45 Then goeth he,
and taketh with
himself
seven other spirits more
wicked than himself, and they enter in and
dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first.
Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
It was still applied in His generation, and Yeshua revealed that these
seven additions were demons/spirits. The seven times used in this
week's Torah
portion chapter were the result of the affect of these spirits.
CHAPTER
27 Leviticus
27:1-34
Lev 27:1 And hwhy
spoke to Moses, to say, 2 Speak to the Sons of
Israel, and
you shall say to them, When a man shall make wondrous (wonderful)
a vow, on
your
evaluation (estimation) of the souls belonging to hwhy,
3 and your
evaluation (estimation) shall be of the
remembered one (male) from a son of twenty
years and unto a son of sixty years, and your evaluation (estimation) shall be
fifty
shekels of silver on the Shekel of the Sanctuary. 4 And if she shall be
an expressed one (punctured one, perforated one, a
female), and your evaluation (estimation) shall be thirty shekels. 5 And

substitute) him, a

bad) on a good: and if changing (altering, substitute), shall change
(alter, substitute) an
animal on an animal,
and he shall be and his changed one (alternate one, substituted
one), shall be Sacred (Holy). 11 And
if any
unclean
animal of which they do not bring near with her of a Karban
Offering (Draw Near Offering, Gift Offering) to hwhy,
and shall stand ta-the
animal to the face
of

arisen (established). 15 And if
the
one with sanctifying shall redeem ta-his
house, and shall
add a fifth of silver of your evaluation (estimation) upon him,
and shall be (belong) to him. 16 And if from a field of his seizing
(holding) shall
a man

and shall be your
evaluation (estimation) by the mouth of his seed: an homer of barley
seed on
the fifty
shekels of silver.
17 If from the year of
the Jubilee
shall sanctify his field, shall be arisen (established) according to [(as)]
your evaluation (estimation). 18
And if after the Jubilee shall sanctify his field, and the Priest shall
compute (count) to him ta-the
silver upon the
mouth of the years that are left (that remain) unto the year of
the
Jubilee, and
shall be deducted (diminished) from your evaluation (estimation). 19
And if
redeeming, the one
sanctifying him shall
redeem ta-the
field, and shall add a fifth of silver of your
evaluation (estimation) upon him, and to him shall be arisen (stand, be
established). 20 And if ta-the
field shall not be redeemed, and if has
sold ta-the
field to another
man, shall not be redeemed anymore (still). 21 And the field in
his
going out in the Jubilee shall
be Sacred (Holy) to hwhy
as (like) a field that is devoted (dedicated);
she shall belong to the Priest of his seizing (holding). 22 And if
shall be ta-a
field from his
purchase which is not from the field of his seizing (holding),
shall be
sanctified to hwhy;
23 and the Priest shall compute (count)
to him ta
the
enumeration (assessment) of the evaluation
(estimation) of you unto
the year
of the Jubilee: and shall give ta-the evaluation
(estimation) of you in
that day; shall be Sacred (Holy) to hwhy.
24 Shall return the field in the year of
the Jubilee to the which had purchased (bought)
him
from with him, of the which shall belong to him a seizing (holding) of
the
land. 25 And all of your evaluation (estimation) shall be on the Shekel
of the
Sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel. 26 Only (Also) a
firstling which shall be a firstborn to hwhy
among the animals shall not a man sanctify him; if an ox, if a lamb:
he shall belong to hwhy.
27 And if among the
unclean animals, and shall be redeemed in your evaluation (estimation),
and shall
add his fifth upon him: and if shall not be redeemed, and shall be sold
according to [(as)] your evaluation (estimation). 28 Also anything
devoted
(dedicated)
which a man
shall
devote (dedicate) to hwhy
from all which belongs to
him, from Adam, and from animal and from
the field of his seizing (holding) shall not be sold and shall not
be redeemed: every devoted
(dedicated) thing, he shall be a Sacred (Holy) of Sacreds (Holies)
[(Sacred of Sacreds, Holy of Holies)] to hwhy.
29 Anything devoted (dedicated) which shall be devoted (dedicated) from
the Adam shall not be redeemed; dying, shall die.
30 And all of the tithes of the land, from the seed of
the land, from the fruit of the tree, he shall belong to hwhy: shall be Sacred
(Holy) to hwhy.
31 And if redeeming,
a man shall redeem from his tithes, his fifth shall be added upon him.
32
And all of the tithe of the herd and of the flock, of all which shall
go over
under
the rod (staff), the tenth shall be Sacred (Holy) to hwhy.
33 Shall not inspect (search)
between good to the evil (bad), and shall not change (altar,
substitute) him: and
if changing (altering, substituting),
shall change (altar, substitute) him, he shall be, and his changed one
(altered one, substituted one) shall be
Sacred (Holy);
shall not be redeemed. 34 These are the Commandments
which hwhy
commanded
ta-Moses
to the Sons of
Israel on Mount Sinai.
(NOTE: Not all verses will have
comments)
In this week's Torah portion chapter, hwhy commanded Moses
for
some of the things in these Commandments. Everytime the word "you" or
"your" is mentioned, it
refers to Moses.
Verses one through eight
1 And hwhy
spoke to Moses, to say, 2 Speak to the Sons of
Israel, and
you shall say to them, When a man shall make wondrous (wonderful)
a vow, on
your
evaluation (estimation) of the souls belonging to hwhy,
3 and your
evaluation (estimation) shall be of the
remembered one (male) from a son of twenty
years and unto a son of sixty years, and your evaluation (estimation) shall be
fifty
shekels of silver on the Shekel of the Sanctuary. 4 And if she shall be
an expressed one (punctured one, perforated one, a
female), and your evaluation (estimation) shall be thirty shekels. 5 And
if shall be from a son of five years and unto a son of
twenty years, and your evaluation (estimation) of the remembered one
(male) shall be
twenty shekels,
and for
the expressed one (female) shall be ten shekels. 6 And if shall be from
a son of a
renewed month and unto a son
of five years, and your evaluation (estimation) of the remembered one
(male) shall be five shekels of
silver, and
for the expressed one
(punctured one, perforated one, a
female) your evaluation (estimation) shall be three shekels
of silver. 7
And if shall be
from a son of sixty years and the upward; if shall be a remembered one
(male), and your evaluation (estimation) shall be five ten
(fiveteen, fifteen) shekels, and
for the expressed one
(punctured one, perforated one, a
female) your evaluation (estimation) shall be
ten shekels. 8 And if he shall be poor (thin) from your evaluation (estimation), and he
shall
stand to the face of the Priest, and the Priest shall evaluate (estimate) him;
upon the mouth which the hand that vowed she can afford (attain,
reach)
shall the
Priest evaluate him.
As one can see, the evaluation of a male is more than a female. hwhy
intended that way for a woman to give less, which is an act of mercy
for the woman. Look at today regarding women in the workforce. It
doesn't apply to everybody, but the women of the world want to have
equal
status and equal pay that a man has. The reason they are doing this,
because the world lies to them by saying that they can be independent
from men, and don't need men, and can be as equal as men. This seems to
be one of the issues regarding the last days on this earth before
Yeshua returns.
In verse seven
of this week's Torah portion passage,
the amount of silver shekels men and women sixty years and up pay
less than those twenty to sixty years. This is the oldest recording of
a "senior citizen discount".
Also notice the amount of silver shekels required for the younger ones
between five and twenty years old, and cheaper between a month old and
five years old. This is the oldest account of rates based on ages. This
practice has been used, in example, for bus fares,
circuses, Disney World, and other activity places, where children of
certain ages get in cheaper than their older siblings and parents, and
some organizations have children ages five and under go in for free.
Verses nine and ten
9 And if of an animal, which they shall bring near from her a Karban
Offering (Drawing Near Offering, Gift Offering) to hwhy,
of all which shall give from him to hwhy
shall be Sacred (Holy). 10
Shall not replace (slide by) him, and shall not change (alter,
substitute) him, a
good on an evil (a bad), or an evil (a
bad) on a good: and if changing (altering, substitute), shall change
(alter, substitute) an
animal on an animal,
and he shall be and his changed one (alternate one, substituted
one), shall be Sacred (Holy).
This is symbolic of Yeshua who was "Holy to hwhy", because in
the
Torah portion of Akharey Moth, in the book of Leviticus, regarding the
two goats for Yom Kippur, based in chapter sixteen, that the symbolic
"Lot Stone"- the Jewish people- made
Yeshua the Dedicated Goat to hwhy.
Verses eleven through thirteen
11 And
if any
unclean
animal of which they do not bring near with her of a Karban
Offering (Draw Near Offering, Gift Offering) to hwhy,
and shall stand ta-the
animal to the face
of
the Priest: 12 And the Priest shall evaluate (estimate) her between
good and
between
evil (bad): as the Priest evaluates (estimates) you, so shall be. 13
And if
redeeming,
shall redeem, and shall add his
fifth upon your evaluation (estimation).
This most likely relates to those who have donkeys and camels, they
can't be given to hwhy, but they can
be given to the Priests to be used for their own purposes like carrying
their tents or items, and donkeys would be used to pull wagons.
Verses fourteen and fifteeen
14 And when a man shall sanctify ta-his
house Sacred at being (Holy) to hwhy,
and the Priest shall
evaluate (estimate) him between good and between evil (bad):
as the which the Priest shall evaluate (estimate) him, so shall be
arisen (established). 15 And if
the
one with sanctifying shall redeem ta-his
house, and shall
add a fifth of silver of your evaluation (estimation) upon him,
and shall be (belong) to him.
This is the
earliest account of estate appraisals.
A fifth is twenty percent (1/5 = 20%).
Verse sixteen
16 And if from a field
of his seizing (holding) shall
a man
sanctify to hwhy,
and shall be your
evaluation (estimation) by the mouth of his seed: an homer of barley
seed on
the fifty
shekels of silver.
1 homer = 50 Silver Shekels
This evaluation would have most likely occurred during the Spring
period between the Biblical months of Aviv/Nissan and Sivan (between
March and June), because it is the only time that the barley would grow.
Looking at the word HOMER
The Hebrew word for homer
is "khoh-mehr"-
Khet, Mem, Resh (rmx). It is from
Strong's Concordance number 2563, and its definition
From
H2560; properly a bubbling up, that is, of water, a wave; of earth,
mire or clay (cement); also a heap; hence a chomer or dry measure: -
clay, heap, homer, mire, motion, mortar.
from 2560 "khah-mahr" (rmx), and its definition
A
primitive root; properly to boil up; hence to ferment (with scum); to
glow (with redness); as denominative (from H2564) to smear with pitch:
- daub, foul, be red, trouble.
This homer (rmx) is not the omer (rme). It is a
different amount. This is what the Bible Hub website says
regarding the homer:
"an homer. or, the
land of an homer, etc., i.e, as much land as required a homer of barley
to sow it. The homer was very different to the omer; the latter held
about three quarts, the former seventy-five gallons three pints".
1 homer = 75 gallons, 3 pints, or 75.375 gallons
Divide 50 shekels by 75.375 gallons, it comes to 1.5075 gallons
per shekel.
Verse twenty five
25 And all of your
evaluation (estimation) shall be on the Shekel
of the
Sanctuary: twenty gerahs shall be the shekel. Looking at the word GERAH
The Hebrew word for gerah is
"gey-rah"- Gimel, Resh, Heh (hrg). It is from
Strong's Concordance number 1626, and its definition
From
H1641 (as in H1625); properly (like H1620) a kernel (round as if
scraped), that is, a gerah or small weight (and coin): - gerah.
from 1625 "gey-rah" (hrg), and its
definition
From
H1641; the cud (as scraping the throat): - cud.
from 1641 "geh-rahr" (rrg), and its definition
A
primitive root; to drag off roughly; by implication to bring up the cud
(that is, ruminate); by analogy to saw: - catch, chew, X continuing,
destroy, saw.
I noted earlier that a gerah
is
1/20th
of a shekel, but what is a gerah worth? Take the amount of 1/50 of
an homer, which is the weight of one shekel, 1.5075 gallons, and
divide
it by twenty gerahs. It comes to .075375 homer gallons, less than
a
tenth of a gallon, or 1/1000 of a homer.
The Levites were in charge of the monetary rate and the monetary
evaluation. One of the famous Jewish family involved in banking are the
Vanderbilts. Also, the previous three chairmans of the United States
Federal Reserve are
and have been Jews: Janet Yellen, who is
Jewish, and preceded her was Bob Bernanke, and before him was Alan
Greenspan, all Jewish. All of them held this office for almost three
decades.
In the United States, the congress used to be the ones that set the
gold and silver
standard (scale) for the dollar starting in 1792 under the "Mint and
Coinage Act". This lasted until 1914 when a group of banking heads
caused the government to create the Federal Reserve, in which they
began
the commission and took over the standard, and created the "Federal
Reserve
Note"
which started the decline of the gold standard, and in 1933 "Executive
Order
6102" made it illegal for any U.S. citizen to sell or trade gold, or
gold currency, anywhere in the world. It was followed by the "Gold
Reserve Act" in 1934, which stated that all gold and gold notes that
were held by the Federal Reserve were to be held only by the U.S.
Department of the Treasury. The final nail in the coffin was in 1971
when President Nixon ended the exchange of currency into gold. It was a
complex history, but you can find this information on the Wikipedia web
page:
The Hebrew
word for shekel is "sheh-kehl"- Shin, Kuph, Lamed (lqs) is from
Strong's Concordance
number 8255, and its definition
"From
H8254; probably a weight; used as a commercial standard: - shekel".
from 8254 "shah-kahl", and its
definition
"A
primitive root; to suspend or poise (especially in trade): - pay,
receive (-r), spend, X throughly, weigh".
This is where we get our modern English word "scale".
COMPUTE (COUNT)
In verse eighteen, the Hebrew
word for compute (count) is "khah-shahv"- Khet,
Shin, Bet (bsx). It is from
Strong's Concordance
number 2803, and its definition
"A
primitive root; properly to plait or interpenetrate, that is,
(literally) to weave or (generally) to fabricate; figuratively to plot
or contrive (usually in a malicious sense); hence (from the mental
effort) to think, regard, value, compute: - (make) account (of),
conceive, consider, count, cunning (man, work, workman), devise,
esteem, find out, forecast, hold, imagine, impute, invent, be like,
mean, purpose, reckon (-ing be made), regard, think".
Without the Bet, this is where we get our modern English word "cash".
I give credit to Mark Biltz of El Shaddai
Ministries for
revealing this, because it was the first time that I have heard about
it. To end
this, looking at these accounts in the books of Exodus and Numbers, if
one has not noticed, this whole book of Leviticus had a time
span, from the beginning of chapter one to the end of chapter twenty
seven, of "one month", which began in the Torah portion of P'kudey, in
the
book of Exodus, and ended in the Torah portion of B'midbar, in the book
of Numbers
Exodus 40:17And was, in the first renewed
month in the second year, on the one of
the
renewed month, the Tabernacle was raised up. 18 And
Moses
raised up ta-the Tabernacle,... Numbers 1:1And hwhy
spoke to Moses in the Wilderness of Sinai in the Tent of
Appointment, on the one of the second renewed month, in the
second year
of
their going out from the land of Egypt,... Based on
these two references, if one hasn't
noticed, this whole book of Leviticus had a time
span, from the beginning of chapter one to the end of chapter twenty
seven, of "one month".
Next week, we'll be reading the
book of Numbers which covers their thirty eight years of their journey. That ends this
week's Torah portion commentary.
This also ends the book of Leviticus
Don't cry. We
will read you again next year, hwhy willing.
