Indirectly related, we as believers have believed that we are part of Israel by accepting Yeshua into our hearts and made Him our Lord and Savior. Yeshua noted this, which is noted in the Gospel of John
John 20:29 Yeshua saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen Me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.
Verse eighteen
18 facing (lest) shall exist among you a man, or a woman, or family, or a tribe, which his heart faces away the day (today) from with יהוה, our Elohim, to go to serve the elohim of את-these nations; facing (lest) shall exist among you a root that fructifies gall and wormwood;
In this week's Torah portion passage, the phrase "shall exist" in the Hebrew text is "yesh". Substituting shall be with yesh, it says this:
18 facing (lest) yesh [is] among you a man, or a woman, or family, or a tribe, which his heart faces away the day (today) from with יהוה, our Elohim, to go to serve the elohim of את-these nations; facing (lest) shall exist among you a root that fructifies gall and wormwood;
This refers to Yeshua who was in the midst of them when their hearts turned from יהוה, their Elohim during His Ministry to when He was crucified on a tree taking the gall and wormwood.
Looking at the following words:
GALL
The Hebrew word for gall is "rohsh"- Resh, Aleph, Shin (ראש). It is from Strong's Concordance number 7219 and its definition
Apparently the same as H7218; a poisonous plant, probably the poppy (from its conspicuous head); generally poison (even of serpents): - gall, hemlock, posion, venom.

From an unused root apparently meaning to shake; the head (as most easily shaken), whether literally or figuratively (in many applications, of place, time, rank, etc.): - band, beginning, captain, chapiter, chief (-est place, man, things), company, end, X every [man], excellent, first, forefront, ([be-]) head, height, (on) high (-est part, [priest]), X lead, X poor, principal, ruler, sum, top.
As noted, this Hebrew word also means "head". This also could emphasize the "false head", which is HaSatan.
Monte Judah of Lion and Lamb Ministries noted that this will make one sicker, and sicker, until the person is dead.
In this week's Torah portion passage, it means that the head of a man would symbolically be fructified with poison. This is the same substance that Yeshua was given, but refused. I researched why there were two different places in the Gospels where one source says that He received the sponge at the cross, and another saying He refused the sponge at the cross. The reason is, because Yeshua was offered "two" different sponges. The first time Yeshua was given the sponge, which is noted in the Gospel of Matthew
Matthew 27:33 And when they were come unto a place called Golgotha, that is to say, a place of a skull, 34 They gave Him vinegar to drink mingled with gall: and when He had tasted thereof, He would not drink.
This is, because the sponge was filled with "poison", which is the gall. This poison was a substance which would have killed Him. If Yeshua took this, He would have disqualified Himself to be the Messiah, because He would have not finished His set of last words before He died by saying "It is finished". That gall would have finished Him first, and the Jewish People, the Jewish authorities, the Romans, and the world, as well as the prince of this world, HaSatan, would have stated "It is finished" against Yeshua instead of Yeshua saying this Himself against HaSatan.
This is the second time that He was given a sponge, which is noted in the Gospels of Matthew and John
Matthew 27:48 And straightway one of them ran, and took a spunge, and filled it with vinegar, and put it on a reed, and gave Him to drink.
John 19:28 After this, Yeshua knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. 29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to His Mouth.
Notice that this second sponge account is noted later the same Gospel of Matthew chapter compared to the first account. There was no gall added to this sponge, therefore He took this second sponge, and later said "It is finished".
WORMWOOD
The Hebrew word for wormwood is "lah-ah-nah"- Lamed, Ayin, Nun, Heh (לענה). It is from Strong's Concordance number 3939, and its definition
From an unused root supposed to mean to curse; wormwood (regarded as poisonous, and therefore accursed): - hemlock, wormwood.
In this week's Torah portion passage, this would symbolically be one's manifestation of his head full of poison by saying that the other aspect of the fructification of a man would be speaking out "cursing".
In this week's Torah portion passage, Moses was saying to them in many words, "Lest they be fructified with the head full of poison and speaking out cursing". Going back to Matthew's Gospel account noted above when Yeshua was offered vinegar and gall at the cross, the first sponge account, if He took it, He would be taking poison, which would symbolically effect His head and cause Him to speak "curses". That is also the spiritual significance why He did not take it. Also spiritually, we as believers need to guard our minds from giving into spiritual poison from HaSatan and his demons, as well as the flesh and the world, that would cause us to speak curses.
The apostle Paul noted an example of how one's heart and mind could be guarde, which is noted in his letter to the assembly in Philipia
Phillipians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto hwhy. 7 And the Peace of hwhy, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Messiah Yeshua. 8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
Also indirectly related, King David speaks about the tongue, which is noted in the book of the Psalms
Psalm 59:11 Slay them not, lest my People forget: scatter them by Thy Power; and bring them down, Adonai, our Shield. 12 For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak.
The apostle James also noted about the tongue, which he noted in his epistle
James 3:1 My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. 2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. 3 Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. 4 Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. 5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. 7 For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 8 But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9 Therewith bless we hwhy, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of hwhy. 10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.
The tongue is a very powerful tool. We as believers need to be careful in what we speak.
Verse nineteen
19 And shall be, in his hearing את-the Words of this alah-curse, and shall bless in his heart, to say, Peace shall be (belong) to me, for I walk in the stubborness (hostility imagination) of my heart, by that, to add the drunkenness to את-the thirsty:
The Hebrew word for stubborness (hostility, imagination) is "sh'ree-rooth"- Shin, Resh, Yod, Resh, Vav, Tav (שרירות). It is from Strong's Concordance number 8307 and its definition
From H8324 in the sense of twisted, that is, firm; obstinacy: - imagination, lust.
from 8324 "Shah-rahr" (שרר), and its definition
A primitive root; to be hostile (only active participle an opponent): - enemy.
There is another Hebrew word similar to this Hebrew word which is most likely related:
from 5637 "Sah-rahr" (סרר), and its definition
A primitive root; to turn away, that is, (morally) be refractory: - X away, backsliding, rebellious, revolter (-ing), slide back, stubborn, withdrew.
Verse twenty
20 יהוה will not breathe forgiveness [(be willing at forgiving)] to him, for then shall smoke the Anger of יהוה and His Jealousy (Zealousy, Zealousness) shall be against that man, and shall crouch on Him all of the alah-curses that were written in this Scroll, and יהוה shall blot out (abolish) את-his name from under the Heavens.
This is similar to what יהוה said to Moses at Mount Sinai, which is noted in the Torah portion of Ki Thisa, in book of Exodus
Exodus 32:31 And Moses returned to יהוה, and said, Oh now, this People have sinned a great sin, and they have done (made) for themselves elohim of gold. 32 And now, if You will, lift away (bear away, carry away) their sin, and if not, blot me now from Your Scroll which You have written. 33 And יהוה said to Moses, Whom which has sinned to Me, I will blot him out of My Scroll.
In the Brith Khadashah (the New Covenant), the assembly of Sardis was given a warning to stick with the faith or be blotted out of the book, which is noted in the book of Revelation
Revelation 3:1 And unto the angel of the assembly in Sardis write; These things saith He that hath the seven Spirits of יהוה, and the seven stars; I know thy works, that thou hast a name that thou livest, and art dead. 2 Be watchful, and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die: for I have not found thy works perfect before hwhy. 3 Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard, and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. 4 Thou hast a few names even in Sardis which have not defiled their garments; and they shall walk with Me in white: for they are worthy. 5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the Scroll of Life, but I will confess his name before My Father, and before His angels.
For those whose names will be blotted out (I pray that is not the case for anyone), this is an idea what Yeshua is going to see in the Scroll
As I said, I pray none of us gets blotted out from His Scroll of Life. It would be more grievous for a believer to have his or her name blotted in the Scroll than for a non-believer not to be in the Scroll, because the believer was saved and later rebelled against His Will and went their own way.
Verse twenty eight
28 And יהוה uprooted them from upon their ground in Anger, and in Fury, and in Great Indignation (Wrath, Rage), and sent them away [(cast them)] to another land, as this day.
It is not shown in the English, but in the Hebrew text, the English phrase "and cast them" is the Hebrew "vai-yash-lee-kheym" (וישלכם). But this Hebrew word contains a large Lamed as part of the Hebrew word
The Hebrew letter Lamed is the Paleo-Hebrew picture of a crooked shepherd's staff. The reason this "staff" in the Hebrew word for "cast" meant that יהוה would use His Crooked Shepherd's Staff, since יהוה is "the Shepherd", to cast the Israelites from the land if they reach that point of rebellion. Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries noted that the Lamed, which is a shepherd's staff, is an act to bring back the sheep to the fold, meaning that יהוה will bring the Israelites back to the land. יהוה already brought the Southern House of Judah back starting in the late 1800's and became a state in 1948. יהוה has yet to bring back the Lost Ten Northern Tribes of the House of Israel, and that can only be done through Yeshua, the Messiah, who says that He is the Shepherd, which is noted in the Gospel of John.
John 10:11 I am the Good Shepherd: The Good Shepherd giveth His life for the Sheep.
John 10:14 I am the Good Shepherd, and know My Sheep, and am known of Mine.
Monte Judah in his July 2004 "Yavoh" magazine, in his article "The Jots and Tittles of Moses", noted this regarding the large Lamed:
"The Lamed means a shepherds staff or a herder's goad. The staff of Moses was used to lead the children of Israel out of Egypt. The staff of Moses was raised up in the wilderness to symbolize how the Messiah would [be] raised up on the cross. The Letter Lamed is made bold to remind us that the Great Shepherd will be the One who gathers us where ever we may be scattered. This passage of Scripture explains how Israel was prophesied by Moses to one day [be] cast into all the nations (just as we have). But the enlgared Lamed reminds us that the Great Shepherd will bring us back".
Verse twenty nine
29 The secrets belong to יהוה, our Elohim: and the exposings (revelations, uncoverings) belong to us and to our sons unto ages to do את-all of the Words of this Teaching (Torah).
King Solomon took this verse and applied it, which is noted in the book of Proverbs
Proverbs 25:2 The Glory of Elohim is the hiding of a Word: but the glory of kings is to search out a Word.
We as believers in Yeshua are also kings, which the apostle John noted in the book of Revelation
Revelation 1:3 Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand. 4 John to the seven assemblies which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from Him Who Is, and Who Was, and Who Is to Come; and from the seven Spirits which are before His Throne; 5 And from Yeshua, the Messiah, who is the Faithful Witness, and the First Begotten of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own Blood, 6 And hath made us kings and priests unto hwhy and His Father; to Him be Glory and Dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
In other words, we, as "kings" and "queens" in Yeshua, are to search out a matter, or a Word, in Messiah Yeshua, who is the Word manifested, which is noted in the Gospel of John
John 1:14 And the Word was made Flesh, and dwelt among us,...
Another issue regarding this week's Torah portion passage is the phrase "to us and to our sons unto...". In the Hebrew text is "lah-noo ool-vah-ney-noo ahd" (לנו ולבנינו עד), but the thing about this Hebrew text is that all of the Hebrew letters, except the last letter Dalet, has a dot above each letter
Monte Judah of Lion and Lamb Ministries in his July 2004 "Yavoh" magazine, in his article "The Jots and Tittles of Moses", noted this regarding the dots:
"Again, the jots have to do with Jacob's flock or family. This passage has the jots placed over the future generations. It reminds us that each generation must look to the Torah for their instruction and to understand their part in Jacob's family, beginning with Jacob's family being divided into two compnaies before crossing into the land. We see that we are divided as the House of Judah and the House of Israel. That night, Jacob was afraid and in terror. He wrestled with God; he feared his brother Esau. It was called Jacob's trouble. The next day, he was unified, his brohter went away, and he received a blessing and anew name - Israel. The same will happen to us. We are in Jacob's trouble now. We are dealing with terror. We are divided. We await the blessing of God and His new day. Our names will be changed. We will live in the promised land. The sages say that what happened to the fathers will happen to the descendants. The jots remind of the story of Jacob, Jacob's trouble, Jacob's flock and family coming together. We associate Jacob's trouble with end time events, specifically, the Great Tribulation. Therefore, it is of profound interest to us".

There is something else that I noticed regarding the dots. In my opinion, in the context of this verse, the dots above the phrase "to us and to our sons...", regarding the hidden and the revealing, applies in the context to what King Solomon said above, but I will note again
Proverbs 25:2 The Glory of Elohim is the hiding of a Word: but the glory of kings is to search out a Word.
The dots above represent a symbolic picture of a crown above those of Moses' generation and the sons after them, meaning that they are kings in their own right when they search out the Word. The last dot is located above the Ayin (e) in the Hebrew word "ahd", which is translated "unto" (de). The letter Ayin is a Paleo-Hebrew picture of the "eye". In this case, in context of this week's Torah portion passage, it is saying to use one's eye to see the four levels of the word:

The eye is to ultimately see Yeshua in the complete understanding level of the Torah. Yeshua said in many words that He was setting the goal Himself, which is noted in the Gospel of Matthew
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the Torah, or the Prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
Phillip witnessed the fulfillment, or completion, of the Torah, which is noted in the Gospel of John
John 1:45 Phillip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found Him, of whom Moses in the Torah, and the Prophets, did write, Yeshua of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
The apostle Paul noted this, which he noted in his letter to the assembly in Rome
Romans 10:4 For Messiah is the end of the Torah for righteousness to every one that believeth.
Looking at the word END
The Greek word for end is "telos" (τελος). It is from Strong's Concordance number 5056, and its definition
From a primary word τέλλω tellō (to set out for a definite point or goal); properly the point aimed at as a limit, that is, (by implication) the conclusion of an act or state (termination [literally, figuratively or indefinitely], result [immediate, ultimate or prophetic], purpose); specifically an impost or levy (as paid): - + continual, custom, end (-ing), finally, uttermost. Compare G5411.
Mark Biltz of El Shaddai Ministries noted that in this verse of Paul to the Romans, the King James Version translators mistranslated the word as "end" in the verse. The apostle Paul wasn't saying that Yeshua finished and buried the Torah forever, and we are to have a new set of commandments, but Paul was saying that Yeshua was the "goal" of the Torah and the Prophets, as the Greek word also translates. In other words, the Torah and the prophets leads to Yeshua. This is how it should be translated
Romans 10:4 For Messiah is the goal of the Torah for righteousness to every one that believeth.

These are the very same words Yeshua spoke and fulfilled at His crucifixion, which is noted in the Gospel of Matthew
Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani [in Greek "hli hli lama sabaxqani"]? that is to say, My El, My El, why hast Thou forsaken Me?
The experiences David went through was a future fulfilling prophecy to what Yeshua went through at the cross.

Deuteronomy 30:1-20
Deu 30:1 And shall be, when shall come upon you all of these Words of the Blessing and the Despisement (Kalal-Curse) which I have given to your face, and you shall return to your heart among all of the nations, which hwhy, your Elohim, shall banish you there, 2 and you shall return unto hwhy, your Elohim, and you shall listen in His Voice according to [(as)] all which I am commanding you the day (today), you and your sons, in all of your heart, and in all of your soul; 3 and hwhy, your Elohim, will turn ta-your captivity, and will be merciful (compassionate, pitiful) of you, and will return and will collect (gather) you from all of the peoples which hwhy, your Elohim, had scattered you there. 4 If you shall be banished (pushed out) among the edges (ends) of the Heavens, hwhy your Elohim shall collect (gather) you from there, and shall take you from there: 5 and hwhy, your Elohim, shall bring you [(have you go)] to the land which your fathers, they possessed (occupied), and you shall possess (occupy) her; and shall do you good [(be good of you)], and shall multiply you [(you shall multiply)] than your fathers, 6 and hwhy, your Elohim, shall circumcise ta-your heart, and ta-the heart of your seed to love ta-hwhy, your Elohim, in all of your heart, and in all of your soul, by that, you shall live. 7 And hwhy, your Elohim, will give ta all of these alah-curses upon your enemies, and on your haters which have persecuted (pursued, chased) you. 8 And you, you shall return, and you shall listen in the Voice of hwhy, and you shall do ta-all of His Commandments which I am commanding you the day (today), 9 and hwhy, your Elohim, shall make you exceed (excel, abound) in every doing (work) of your hand, in the fruit of your belly, and in the fruit of your animal, and in the fruit of your ground, for goodness: for hwhy shall return to rejoice over (upon) you for goodness as the which had rejoiced over (upon) your fathers: 10 for you shall listen in the Voice of hwhy, your Elohim, to guard (keep, observe, heed) His Commandments and His Statutes that are written in the Scroll of this Teaching (Torah), for you shall return to hwhy, your Elohim, in all of your heart, and in all of your soul.
11 For this Commandment which I am commanding you the day (today), she is not difficult (wonderful) from you, and she is not far off (far away). 12 She is not in the Heavens, to say, Who shall ascend for us to the Heavens and get (take) her for us, and we may hear her, and we may do her? 13 And she is not from over by the sea, to say, Who shall go over for us to over the sea and get (take) her for us, and we may hear her, and we may do her? 14 For the Word is much near to you in your mouth and in your heart to do him.
15 See, I have given to your face the day (today) ta-the life and ta-the good, and ta-the death and ta-the evil; 16 which I am commanding you today to love ta-hwhy, your Elohim, to walk in His Ways, and to guard (keep, observe, heed) His Commandments, and His Statutes, and His Judgments (Ordinances), and you shall live, and you shall multiply: and hwhy, your Elohim, shall bless you in the Land which you are going to there to possess (occupy) her. 17 And if your heart shall face away, and you will not listen, and you shall withdraw (pushed away, be drawn away), and you shall worship to other elohim, and you shall serve them; 18 I have declared to you the day (today), for perishing, you will perish. You shall not lengthen (prolong) days upon the Ground which you are going over ta-the Jordan to go to there to possess (occupy) her.
19 I make witness (testify) the day (today) ta-the Heavens and ta-the Earth against you, I have given to your face the life and the death, the blessing and the despisement (kalal-cursing): and you shall choose in the life, by that, you may live, you and your seed: 20 to love ta-hwhy, your Elohim, to listen in His Voice, and to cling on Him: for He is your Life, and the Length of your days: to dwell upon the Ground which hwhy swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them.

This is the result of the Israelites that were scattered abroad among the nations and mixed and mingled with them, which is noted in the books of the prophet Jeremiah and the prophet Hosea

Hosea 9:16 Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit: yea, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even the beloved fruit of their womb. 17 My Elohim will cast them away, because they did not hearken unto him: and they shall be wanderers among the nations.

Looking at the word COLLECT (GATHER)
The Hebrew word for collect (gather) is "kah-bahts"- Kuph, Bet, Tsade Sophit (Ubq). It is from Strong's Concordance number 6908, and its definition
A primitive root; to grasp, that is, collect: - assemble (selves), gather (bring) (together, selves together, up), heap, resort, X surely, take up.
This is where we get the modern Hebrew and English word "kibbutz".
Both houses of Israel and Judah have been scattered all over the peoples of the earth. The Southern House of the Two Tribes of Judah were last dispersed around 70 BC and returned to the land of Israel and became a state in 1948. The Southern House still exists today, because they still have the original Covenant of hwhy and were not divorced, but the Northern House of the Ten Tribes of Israel have yet to return, because they were divorced, which is noted in the book of the prophet Jeremiah
Jeremiah 3:8 And I saw, when for all the causes whereby backsliding Israel [Northern Kingdom of Israel] committed adultery I had put her away, and given her a bill of divorce; yet her treacherous sister Judah feared not, but went and played the harlot also.
Though the Southern House of Judah also played the harlot, they were not divorced as their northern brothers did.
The Ten Northern Tribes of Israel were exiled to the Assyrian Empire around 722 BC. It has been around 2,730 years later and the Ten Northern Tribes have yet to return to the land. But they could not return, because they are still divorced, until Yeshua came, who is the Word of hwhy made Flesh. Yeshua, who is hwhy, was Israel's "First Husband", and He died at the cross and came back to life, becoming "the Renewed Bachelor" again for the Northern Kingdom of Israel, which I noted in the Torah portion of Ki Theystey, in the book of Deuteronomy, who now can be betrothed to Yeshua, and are waiting for Yeshua to take them back to Israel and become part of His "Bride".
