THE NEW MOON HAS BEEN SIGHTED!!!

The new moon was spotted in one place in the U.S. and in South Africa on Thursday night, August 13th. I question on this as the first biblical day, because the others couldn't see new slivered moon due to haze or clouds. To me, today, Friday, August 14th, should be called the beginning of the sixth biblical month of Elul. The Chasidic Calendar observed it on Thursday night as well.
